Heddon Torpedo Prop-Bait Topwater Fishing Lure with Spinner Action

Great little bait for our pond bass.

I've been using Torpedos for over 10 years. Never have they failed me in the Midwest here. When the fish wants a subtle and quiet trail to follow and eventually hitting, this is my go to! Buzzbaits are great but these little guys can catch you all species!

I really like the size and weight of this lure. Looks well made quality parts as expected from Heddon. I’ve seen other reviews where people are complaining about not being able to change the hooks out but the parts that the hooks are attached to can be twisted counter clockwise to loosen them and change out the hooks. I wanted to add a split ring and a feathered treble hook to the rear end and it was easy.

Very castable, lands big aggressive fish. That's all I care about. I stock these in my tackle box for top water fun. Good for wide open water or teasing fish out of the weeds. If you don't have one, have never seen one or casted one, you should buy five of them in different colors and patterns.

The Good: - Makes a ton of sound - Quick jerks will attract any predatory fish (if they are around) - Very fun to retrieve The Bad: - The hooks are Iocked into the lure so you cannot swap them out with out cutting the hooks - I have rinsed them out after every use as soon as I get home, but still hints of rust appear on the hooks Note(s): This is small but mighty. Was out doing some night fishing with this little fella. Was jerking it hard to draw some attention and BAM a 30” striper inhales the lure. Due to the size, the entire thing was in its mouth with both treble hooks latched into its mouth. The fish was not getting away.

I absolutely love the color of this little lure! It is a very durable and strong lure I feel like this will hold up well as long as my son doesn’t loose it in a cast. The weight seems about right, what you would expect. So far he’s had some bites but hasn’t snagged his in yet.

This lure made by Heddon is the best lure on the market for bass fishing in my opinion. The lure is floating and make some noise and water splashing. Is very attractive for bass. Is my the lure i use the most for my bass fishing. And is 4$ less than crappy tire store.
