Great pump. Buy a cord and some fittings and you are all set!
11/2021 One year update: So since I had this pump sitting around, I used it this past summer for a homemade pool heater. It ran about 12 hours a day every day for a few months. Once I retired the heating rig I put in the shed where it sat for another couple months. This fall I went to winterize the camper and the shaft was seized. I took it apart, lubricated the pump shaft, worked it loose and put it back together. It doesn't have the pressure or flow it originally had, but worked fine with no leaks to winterize the camper. When I put it away for the winter I poured some motor oil in the pump so hopefully next year it will fire right up. I think it said to do that in the instructions anyway so I should have done that when I put it away before. Anyway, for the $ I can't complain and I think all the metal pumps similar to this would suffer the same way.Original Review 11/2020:Used to winterize my camper and it always seems like I need a small pump for stuff, and I did not want one that had brushes that would wear out after a couple uses.I removed the pigtail of a cord and used a few ring terminals and cut the end off this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JNBTS8V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1That along with a few fittings to use garden hose connections I have a pretty convenient little setup.Remember this pump has trouble priming itself so be sure to use it accordingly.

Is working well. Donโt leave out in stormy weather.
Will rust and lock up if left out in the weather

Great Pump for the Price
We have been using these pumps for years in an industrial environment running 24/7 and they last longer than a $30 pump should. My only complaint is that when I order these pumps sometimes they come with a cord and sometimes they do not!

A more powerful pump sucked the water out too fast and lost its prime
This little pump does the job. It is delivering about 180 gpm drawing water up from 17 feet through 3/4 inch pipe in my little garden well. A more powerful pump sucked the water out too fast and lost its prime. When I first tried this pump with a barrel of water, I believe it was pumping a lot more than 180 gpm. I installed this pump during a dry spell. We got a couple of heavy rains since then, I assume the water table is back up because I'm getting about 240 gallons per hour now. What I wish this had is an on-off switch like my old pump.

Premature Motor Failure
The pump initially operated as expected for light-duty reservoir transfer at approximately 15 minutes per day. Unfortunately, the motor burned out after about three months, indicating reliability concerns for continuous long-term use.

Works... for a while...
I always wait to write reviews until I have enough use to determine the real value. I used the unit for less than one season to circulate water for a small pool; then the windings melted down. I bought this at the very end of last pool season, so it saw very little use last year (2022).The pump worked great at first, but as often happens with these kinds of units, the water pump tends to rust and seize up. No problem. I plan on having to work on that at the beginning of every season.Unfortunately, the unit only has about 1/2 season on it now, and when I dug into why it was suddenly not running, it turns out the motor windings have melted down rendering the whole thing useless.I previously had a similar unit from Harbor Freight that lasted me years before it burned up. So... I'll be looking for a better replacement... pronto.
