Don’t overthink this - just stick it on and smooth it out and move on to your next project. I used just ONE piece and tucked in the corners like you would wrap a christmas present and was done in a few minutes! It looks great and although I only plan to have this as a temporary solution- I think I’ll keep it long term after seeing and using it. I’m having a surgery in a couple of days so I needed a quick solution and this was it. The prep- I didn’t prep or sand my furniture item, I didn’t measure anything, I didn’t cut individual pieces for each flat surface, and I didn’t use any extra tools for air bubbles- I just smoothed it all out by hand, peeling and re-placing when I messed up. I used just ONE rectangle piece of this sticker paper to cover the entire thing and it was so easy! The adhesion- This really kept its stickyness despite me peeling it back and making adjustments after placing it down. I didn’t heat it up with a hairdryer like some people wrote in their reviews but that might have helped for the final edge that I stuck down. It was easy to place and re-place when I needed to adjust parts I didn’t place well. The back edge (which was the last part I stuck down and also a strange particle board texture) wasn’t sticking entirely and since it’s not visible I just used a piece of double sided tape to adhere it and that did the trick. The color- The pattern is very forgivable and you can’t notice the cuts I made to wrap my rounded corners unless you’re a few inches away and REALLY looking.
