Simple yet sturdy enough for a large strong dog
Works exactly as described. It looks nearly identical to another portable overhead dog trolley system by another company that I first saw at a local camping supply store, but it was out of stock everywhere that I looked. I bought this hoping that it would be similar and so far it has totally met my expectations. I was looking for a safe option to tether my large 90lb dog that is not trustworthy off leash to not run around and pester everyone for treats (Great Pyranees is French for "Great at disaPYRing"), but he constantly gets himself tangled up in regular tie outs or can pull the anchor out of the ground when he puts his mind to it. This is a great way of giving him a bit of freedom right next to our campsite or picnic table for a little while while leaving our hands free to set up camp or cook. As long as you have 2 trees or other solid upright objects to wrap-around, it works fantastic. On one trip we actually tethered it between my car ( door frame) and a tree, and although it was closer to the ground it still worked great. There is a heavy duty double locking carabiner that slides along the rope that is easy to get a leash/long line on and off, but sturdy enough that even when my dog pulled on it with a running start it did not break. (Important Note: If it's not already obvious, you should not attach this to a collar, you need to put this on a well fitting harness so that if he does get a running start and pulls he doesn't snap his own neck. If your dog is an escape artist with harnesses like my fluffy goofball, look for a harness that has a 3rd strap around the belly that is *slightly* tighter than the rib cage, it is much harder for them to shimmy backwards out of that type of harness. ) Once he learned that the rope was solid enough that he wouldn't be able to yank it free like he would with the tie outs that anchor to the ground, he stopped trying to pull on it as hard as he could and just mellowed out with staying at leash length along the ropes run. Hooray! Now I can go camping and actually enjoy doing things other than holding my dogs leash the entire time while everyone else enjoys the camping trip. So far the rope seems to be holding up well to the constant friction of the carabiner running along it, and it doesn't have a lot of stretch/slack after it is tightened in place. It has gotten wet, I've rinsed mud off of it, I've set it up a couple of dozen times by now and it is still in great condition. The whole thing is light weight and packs down very compactly into its own storage bag that it comes with, which makes it easy to keep stored in my car at all times. The bright orange rope is reflective which is super helpful at night if you leave it set up at your camp you will see it with the least bit of light from your lantern or even moonlight. We have gotten a lot of questions and compliments about it at the campgrounds we've been at from other folks looking for a safe and easy way to keep a large dog close by, especially when you can't always keep a leash in your hand and carrying a large dog crate to fit a 90 pound dog on every camping trip is cumbersome if not impossible. This would make a great gift for anyone in your life who camps with their dog. 5/5 stars from me, and 4/4 paws from my dog Falcor who is probably thrilled that he can come on more camping trips with me now that I have a good way of keeping him close by.

Dog Camping Leash - Must buy!
I decided to get this for my dogs first camping trip, and I am so happy I had it. It was durable and easy to wrap around the trees. 100 ft might be a little excessive, but I wanted to have the option just in case I needed it! It appears to be good quality, I don't see it getting ruined anytime soon. The material feels strong, but then again, my dog didn't try to chew on it. It was great for us to attach the dogs and not have to worry about them running off. Highly recommend for your next camping trip!

Great for camping!!
I bought this when I went camping with my then 8 month old Rottweiler who weighed 100lb. He is now 9 months old. He actually did so well, that we didn't use it. Instead we hung a tarp on it for over our camp kitchen area. It was very easy to put up. This past weekend we went camping again. We did not suspend it at all this time. But we did use it. My husband and I hiked down to a waterfall at our camp site. We didn't want our dogs to jump into the water or to fall down the sharp rocks. I tied one end of this to a tree and the other end to my 134lb English Mastiff. It worked perfectly! She has lots or room to move around and she could see us. She did not try to chew threw the rope. She also did not pull on the rope. It was sturdy and I felt that she was very safe! I love the bright orange color. I also like the storage bag it comes with. This is a really good purchase and I am glad I bought it. I do have a tie out cord also to hook to this if I ever use it for my Rottie. He is a chewer and I am sure he would have chewed this up. We used the tie out cord for him and he did great. The hardware on this is very sturdy as well, it is really heavy duty!!

Easier to use than I thought
This is a great temporary tie out for camping and travel. Sets up fast and works well. The carrying bag is nice for keeping it all together. My dog recently figured out how to climb the fence and this is letting him still run in the yard until I figure out a long term solution (it's not anchored anywhere near the fence so he can run but he can't get to where he climbs).

Quality and cost
Haven't gotten it hung up in the trees or post yet. Looks pretty strong and easy to use. Cost is reasonable. Arrived sooner than expected.

Sturdy and Versatile for Camping with Dogs
The tie out cable for has been a fantastic addition to my camping gear. Setting it up took a few minutes, and it handled both my 50 lb and 85 lb dogs simultaneously without any issues. The cable is robust and provides plenty of room for them to move around freely, which is great for giving them some independence while keeping them safe. One of the things I really appreciate is its versatility. Not only does it work well as a tie-out system, but it also served as a makeshift fence for both dogs and people at our campsite. It created a clear boundary that kept the dogs from wandering off and even helped keep our area organized. The only minor downside is that it can be a bit cumbersome to pack up, but given its benefits, that's a small price to pay. This tie-out cable has proven to be a reliable and useful tool for camping trips, ensuring my dogs are secure and happy. If you’re looking for a durable and versatile solution for outdoor adventures with your dogs, this is definitely worth considering.

Must have for camping with pets
This is an absolute must and I’ve used it so much at the time that I’ve had it it’s definitely worth the money. It’s good quality sturdy rope. It’s been through plenty of rain storms and still fine so it’s very durable. I have about a 50 pound dog. But I have had other heavier dogs attached to the line no problem. You can hook it between trees so you’re not tripping over the line, or if there’s not two trees you can just hook it to one and adjust how far you want your dogs to be able to go.

Safe, Sturdy, and Gives Dogs Freedom
Here’s a polished and more elaborate version of your review: ⸻ I recently brought this leash cord along for our latest camping trip, and it worked perfectly! It gave my dogs the freedom to roam around the campsite without me worrying about them wandering off. The length was just right for them to explore while still staying connected to the rope, so I could relax knowing they were safe. The locking mechanism is sturdy and easy to use — once clipped in, it stays secure, giving me confidence that the dogs won’t slip loose. The build feels durable enough to handle outdoor conditions, and it’s clearly designed with both safety and convenience in mind. Overall, this leash cord made our camping experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who camps or spends time outdoors with their furry friends!

Good gear, well made and highly visible
The only thing I can think of that would improve this is to be able to tension it between anchor points to keep it off the ground. I do this with a truckers knot but an inbuilt device would be better
