The oval blade hole allows fast either-hand opening. What makes a good logo knife? Review: Big Bang for the $ - Ok so this isn't a Cold Steel AK47 or a Spyderco Tenacious and I was not expecting such for $15.00, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a "money clip" pocket knife at best and I got a cool little EDC option that has formidable characteristics of some higher end knives. At first I struggled with the thumb hole deployment so I oiled up the knife well and I added a little flick of the wrist with the finger movement and found this to be a very fast actuating knife. I does need a little help with the wrist since the blade is not very heavy and has less weight to build momentum to actuate. The knife however does have a nice weight to it and is very sturdy. No blade play at all horizontal or vertical with the blade open. The blade is not a utility blade more so a slicing blade however the steel and finish is not skimpy, mine was razor sharp, shaved the hair on my arms and a very nice wicked sharp speer point. The best part about this knife is the jimping, very reminiscent of the Spyderco's and allows you to get a super firm purchase on this knife with a combat grip. Other people scoff at the pocket clip but I found this clip to be very functional. It is long and deep therefore it relies on the weight of the knife to settle in your pocket not a super crazy tight clip that rips away at the pocket material. The deepness of the clip lets the knife sink down far enough not to fall out, conceals it well and allows a nice smooth deployment when pulling out of pocket. This CRKT option is one of my favorite low budget 2.5" to 3" blade EDC knives next to the CRKT Drifter which to me is the ultimate in this category. I say get them both neither will disappoint!
Review: Plenty of bang-for-buck - The knife is an 8Cr14MoV steel, which is a good utility steel that will sharpen to a good edge, and while you will need to keep some sharpening ceramics around to keep a keen edge, it's a strong enough steel to not have the flaws of some specialty metals like VG-10, which is fragile upon impact. This tool steel will simply deform if struck or bent, but can be re-bent as needed. Hard to bend a blade this thick, though. This has a simple design and comes in cheap at $14 ($25 at most retailers), which makes it a great little knife to buy several of to keep around in lots of places. Stow 'em in the Jeep, the office, the backpack, or keep handy near the keys. It'll never beat out your favorite knives (try out Zero Tolerance, if you haven't already), but it'll do the basics and last a good long time, too. And for this price, you can accept the fact that it comes from China.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for the price
*by C***Z on March 9, 2013*

This is a really good knife at this price point, and compares to some that are more expensive. The initial sharpness is very good and seems to be holding up well. It's my utility knife that's always in my pocket, so it gets used to cut cardboard boxes, wood, used as a lever or screwdriver, etc. It's abused and holds up well. The action is smooth and easy. Nice clip. Slim enough that I forget it's there.
