My kitties absolutely love these treats! Plus I love the fact that they help keep their teeth clean. I had to have an older cats teeth cleaned and before they could clean his teeth they needed blood work and he also needed to be put to sleep. Very expensive ordeal. So it’s a win-win!

I purchased the Purina DentaLife Cat Dental Treats after my ten year old cat Walter's last veterinary appointment where he received a pretty low grade regarding his dental health. Too have his teeth professionally cleaned was over $1000 and they would need to put him under and I avoid that at all costs. Another option was to put him back on dry food but he is prone to urinary tract infections so I was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I decided to give these a try based on the reviews. He has been eating them daily for over a month now and there is a noticeable improvement. It took some time before he would even let me get near his mouth but I went slow putting my hands near his mouth a little more every day until be finally let me open his mouth enough to check. There is a lot less plaque built up on his teeth and his gums look a lot healthier too. His breath is a little bit better as well, but I am hoping it continues to improve. Right now I put about 10-15 pellets in his bowl with this canned food, which is seafood based so I purchased the Salmon flavored, each time I feed him - which is twice a day. At some point I might cut back the frequency and amount, but for now I am going to continue as is for another 3-4 weeks. So yeah, this stuff really did the trick for Walter. Not sure it will work for your cat - it is dependent on if they will even eat them, but for my cat it worked out well. Based on the results I can recommend the Purina DentaLife Cat Dental Treats without hesitation.

Stars for the enjoyability by cats, I think they’re probably more effective than Greenie’s but I’m not sure.

My 14‑year‑old cat loves these teeth‑cleaning treats. The pellets are fairly large, and you might assume an older cat would struggle with them, but she handles them without any issue. In fact, the larger size is actually a big advantage: it prevents her from swallowing them whole the way she used to with smaller dental treats. Because she has to bite and chew each pellet, she gets the actual cleaning benefit they’re designed for. I can hear a lot of crunching now, which tells me she’s really chewing — exactly what you want from a dental treat. The pellets are not solid; they require chewing to swallow but they are not difficult for her to bite into. Based on her reaction and the many positive reviews I’ve read about Purina Dentalife, I would definitely buy these again.
