Love this avocado oil and how it helped my dry skin!
I absolutely love this avocado oil. It is 100% avocado oil and a little drop goes a long way. I have used it as a facial and body moisturizer by itself, used it for stubborn dry spots on scalp and even use it as a hair moisturizer. I was having a tough time with dry facial skin as a mid 40s woman, like nothing was working. Other moisturizing lotions were actually making it worse so I searched for a more natural solution. That is when I came across avocado oil. I have had zero issues with it clogging the facial pores and I love the way it has made my facial skin feel and glow. Also when I wear my hair in a ponytail, I rub some of the oil between the palm of my hands and wipe across my scalp hairs to tame fly aways. I do not use hair spray so this does the trick. For my face I have noticed softer and smoother skin. I love that this oil have not given me any kind of bad reaction as I have sensitive skin. It absorbs well into the skin and I do not notice a scent. I have also used this oil as a carrier oil for adding essential oils. I highly recommend this oil.

4C Hair Oil!
Wonderful oil for the skin and hair. 4C porous hair types will love this. It makes your hair so soft, and prevents tangles. Wonderful product!

rich, nourishing oil that works well in soap making
This avocado oil adds a nice creamy feel to handmade soaps and blends easily into the recipe without changing the texture too much. The formula is rich and hydrating, which helps the finished bars feel more moisturizing on the skin. There is no strong scent so it pairs well with essential oils or fragrance blends. A little goes a long way in a batch and the consistency stays smooth with no cloudiness or separation. Great quality oil for boosting the nourishing properties of DIY soaps.

Very happy with this.
I'll go ahead and say it, I'm in peri-menopause. Men, don't run. It's all good. I started noticing last year that my skin wouldn't hold moisture the way it always had. I don't like to use chemical-laden products in my hair, on my skin, and etc., so I opted to try the oil-cleansing technique and ditching soap for my face. I started with NOW's almond oil, a great product if your skin is still problematic but not overly dry. I noticed a huge difference in the tone of my skin and really only had very few pimples (which would have happened no matter what). I loved the quality of the NOW brand and really embraced the almond oil in place of standard skin moisturizers. As this winter progressed, my regular routine wasn't enough to keep from having scaly, itchy skin, a flaky T-zone of all things, and even coconut oil became a staple for me to use. It's oily and doesn't sink in well enough to use and then get dressed for work. And the stuff blowing around outside in the wind (or even my hair) would occasionally get stuck to my coconut-oiled skin. (It's only funny when it doesn't happen to YOU.) I have only had the NOW avocado oil about three days and I'm in lovelovelove. It's slightly thicker or less viscous than the almond oil, but wow my skin drank it in and never felt greasy. For a little while, your skin feels like it did, about *cough* years ago. I work outside and the wind has been awful lately, but the avocado oil saved my skin. I had gotten windburn and was really thinking OMG I have lizard skin on my face, and the rest of me was as supple as a corpse. My avocado oil soothed the irritated skin on my face and softened it overnight. Everywhere else I tend to not baby as much as my face and neck, so it took two days to get the rest of me softened up. But I'm working outside and I swear the wind robs your moisture through your clothes! I probably couldn't have used such an emollient oil as a teen, but if you're older or just generally prone to dryness, try it out. It makes your skin glow in a way that it would take a $70.00+ jar of chemicals to achieve. It also heals your cuticle issues, and I haven't even tried it yet on my parched long locks. I can't be more enthusiastic about this brand or the product. I adore it. And no greasy residue like my beloved coconut oil leaves behind.

The best thing I have done for my skin in years
I am a 20-something with fairly dry skin and occasional acne. When I try new products, I like to use them for a week then go back to the old products for a week for good comparison. After about a month of use, I must say, I love this oil. I use it as a replacement for body lotion and mix it with kukui oil as a replacement for face creams, and my skin has never felt better. When I first tried to start using. natural oils as a replacement for chemical creams, I tried to use coconut oil. Coconut oil seemed to just linger on my skin for hours at a time while never absorbing, leaving my skin both dry and greasy at the same time. This oil is very different though! It absorbed quickly and I could get dressed without worrying about getting my clothes oil stained. If I wanted to, I *could* put on makeup immediately (although it took a good dose of powder to keep eye makeup in place), but I found after 30 minutes makeup stayed just as in tact as if I had used conventional lotion. The bottle promises hydration and elasticity, and it delivers. Every morning I would wake up in shock of how great my skin was. It just looked and felt so nourished. It was hydrated, but not oily, to the extent that the fine lines around my eyes and mouth seemed to be disappearing. If I got some sun and my skin was extra dry, it used to take rounds of applying body lotion at least twice a day. But with this, I feel hydrated for 24 hours. Even if my skin is not dry at all, I still like to use a small amount, and it never feels greasy. This is a fantastic oil, whether as a carrier oil to mix with other oils or as is, especially since it naturally has SPF of around 15+ (according to multiple websites, just google it). The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the packaging. Something was a little loose in the shipping, and oil spilled in the box. It was a mess. I mentioned that I go back to my old products for a week for good comparison. The comparison to conventional products was so stark that I would have given up on the week. But, I was actually out of town, and I intentionally did not bring the product since I was concerned about leakage. However, this is a TOP QUALITY oil, and the solution is to simply get a nicer glass container, and if the product shipped in a ziplock bag I would be over the moon. Conclusion: Fantastic product, fantastic value. I highly recommend it, and I will be buying it again and again. If this review was helpful please click yes below.

Thick and Light???? it's magic is the only explanation
I got this because I have dry skin and love bleaching hair way too much. But, let's be honest, how else would I get such vibrant blues and purples? OK I digress, the point is, I was turning into a desert and have issues with textures. I can only use abut 3 lotions because the rest leave this greasy layer on my skin that feels like I'm suffocating in wax. Even those lotions I can only use at night because my job requires me to be lotion free. I decided to try this because technically it's food, so I can use it before work. First I tried it on my hair. I have naturally coarse hair that has also been bleached and dyed. So, to start with, the I have the perfect shampoo, so I get very little color fade, but that very little became almost none because of how well this is protecting my hair. But I also noticed that my hair was much softer and less prone to tangles. It took me 1 or 2 tries to get the amount down, a little goes a long way, but as long as you don't just drench your hair, it's not oily or heavy. Next I decided that since it's an oil, an after shower oil was the way to go. I used a dime size amount for both arms, then that much for each leg, and I'm softer than any lotion has ever made me. Bonus, my feet have stopped itching. The dry skin itch was keeping me up at night, but this has fixed that. I've started using it on my husband's elbows, and he almost has human elbows again. Then I thought, well, let's try it as hand lotion. So I put 3 drops on the top of each hand, and spread a drop around my cuticles, then rubbed. I was so happy with how well it absorbs in to dry skin without leaving a residue that I even took it to work to share with co-workers because we can't use lotion, but washing your hands 20+ times a day in between staying covered in desiccating corn meal was causing a few of them to have irritation and even micro fissures in their hands. 1 day and poof, everyone was better (or at least obviously improved). I just can't say enough good things about this stuff.

Phenomenal for beating winter skin!
Ok - So, in order to appreciate my EMPHATIC love of Avocado oil, you need to know that I am a skin-care-junkie. It all started when my mother introduced my 17 year old self to the magic of Salt scrubs. The way my skin looked and felt after only one use of the scrub, and I was hooked. I begin trying all manner of creams and lotions, from department store brands to the body shop. Through trial and error, I found my perfect arrangement of skincare products that would make my skin baby soft, and for 7 years, my system worked perfectly ... Until I got bit by the bug of conscious consumption. All those products I swore by? Tossed out of the window because they all were rich in harmful ingredients. Around this time, I moved back to the Midwest (Michigan) and fumbled through "natural" skin care regimen. It was such a challenging situation because I had to get used to the fact that many "natural" products were not as moisturizing as the chemical based products. (For my melanated love bugs, this translates to ASH and NO ONE has any time for that! ). Then:: AVOCADO OIL. It was the missing ingredient to my "natural" skin care regimen! It absorbs BEAUTIFULLY into the skin in less than 5 minutes and, with continued use deposits deep moisture to skin giving the organ a GREAT LUMINOSITY. My Process for maximizing moisture esp. during winter months: After bathing, I layer the oil on top of my lotion. For an added boost of moisture, spray a bit of Rose Water mixed with Glycerin on your clean, towel dried skin first. Allow rose water to air dry, then layer Lotion. Top lotion with Avocado oil. The Oleic acid in Avocado oil is perfect for skin that is thirsty and dry (Coconut Oil is best for oily skin as it has linoleic acid which delivers light moisturizing properties). YOUR BODY /SKIN WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE THIS.
