Haven't read the book yet. Arrived yesterday. Luckily it's not a gift as it looks used.

I love the story and I am really hook to this. It's worth to read.

ADOW serisinin ilk kitabıdır. Dizisini çok beğendiğim için kitaplarını da okumaya karar verdim. Normalde filmlerin veya dizilerin kitaplarını sonradan okumam eğer önce filmi veya diziyi izlemişsem. Ama bu sefer durum farklıydı. Karakterlerin oluşumu, öykü, kurgu, yerler, zamanlar çok yerindeydi. Ustaca yaratılmış bir bütünlük içinde vampir söylencesi çok iyi kurgulanmıştı. "Bram Stoker's Dracula"dan sonra bugüne kadar okuduğum en özgün anlatım ve yaratıcılık diyebilirim. Zaman yolculuklarında gerçek tarihi kişilerin öykünün akışında ortaya çıkması ve usta bir kurgu ile öykünün bağlamına yerleştirilmesini çok beğendim. Uzun yıllar sonra ilk defa çağdaş bir fantastik macera romanı okumaya başladım. Yazar Deborah Harkness'ın okült ve simya tarihi konusunda akademik bir uzman olması, kitapları ayrıca ilginç, detaylı ve okunası yapıyor. Türün meraklılarına kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

I think I bought this two or three years ago ? Never made the review lol so here goes. It's simply the n°1 book series in my heart. I recommend it to everyone I meet and I never tire of reading it again and again. Book 2 was my favourite (can't tell you why without spoiling everything) so you HAVE to read the whole thing to understand how great it is. If you like magic, vampires, time travel, and if you're a little bit of a history and/or science nerd, you're gonna love it. Deborah Harkness just writes beautifully and her characters are wonderful ✨

So much fun to read such a love story with a good sense of humor, mystery and rich characters, that made it hard to stop reading. I recommend it to everyone who loves a good and spicy romance story. The book is relatively small and light. I'm taking it with me to the Metro every day. Although it has more than 600 pages- you wouldn't want it to end. Looking forward to read the next one "Shadow of Night".
