Perfect for feet!
This body butter is perfect for my feet, especially my heels. This cold weather always leaves my heels cracked. Problem solved!

Great cream, scent not as nice as Yardley.
The body butter is an excellent cream for feet, heels, legs, arms, hands. The lavender scent is not my favorite. Not as nice as Yardley lavender scent. At first I thought it was a bit “off,” but I got used to it.

Moisturizing Without Feeling Heavy or Greasy
Moving to a much drier area means we've had to get used to dealing with dry skin all the time. I originally picked up some generic moisturizers, but my wife wasn't particularly impressed with those, so we gave this Essance body butter a try. This one was definitely a big improvement. According to my wife, the first thing she noticed was the consistency. It's creamy and moisturizing, but surprisingly lightweight for a body butter. It spreads very easily, so you don't need to use a huge amount to cover an area. Most importantly, it actually does a good job moisturizing. She's been using it on particularly dry spots on her feet and arms and says it has made a noticeable difference. Her skin feels softer and stays moisturized rather than feeling dry again shortly after applying it. She also really likes that it isn't greasy. Some heavier creams and body butters leave your hands and skin feeling oily afterward, which can make you not want to use them during the day. This absorbs nicely and leaves her skin feeling moisturized without that greasy residue. The lightweight feel is another big plus. Even though it's rich and creamy, it doesn't feel like you've coated your skin in something thick and heavy. She can put it on, let it absorb, and go about her day. The lavender scent is also very nice. It smells good without being overwhelming, and combined with the creamy texture it makes the product feel a little more premium than the generic moisturizers we had been using. The 4-ounce container isn't huge and it costs more than generic lotion, but the consistency, moisturizing ability, lightweight feel, and non-greasy finish make it worth the difference for us. My wife is happy with it, which means I'm happy with it. From our family, it's an easy 5 stars!

Loving how this lavender body cream softens the crepey appearance of my mature, dry skin.
A body butter, it’s the consistency of a thick luxurious cream that goes on smoothly, and the light lavender scent smells nice. It caused no irritation to my dry, sensitive skin, although it contains aloe juice to which I am sensitive. Our skin loses elasticity as we age and naturally dehydrate. I wish I had a way to show the difference in the appearance of my skin after applying it. Just a little application smoothed out the crepeyness on my arm, wrist and hand, and much more visibly than a very expensive cream I use; I was absolutely amazed! It even smoothed out the rough skin around a surgical scar on my elbow (from a bike crash) that’s always annoying, and it even worked as a cuticle cream. Because it’s so thick, the body butter does take a while to absorb into my skin, and it feels a little “greasy,” for lack of a better term. It contains a lot of organic ingredients like aloe juice, chamomile, almond oil, and of course lavender, and is produced with non-GMO products. I just wish it came in a larger jar; I’m not sure how long this one will last if used daily. But, I love this body butter! Source: USA

Soothing and hydrating
This lavender body butter has a rich, whipped texture that melts into the skin quickly without feeling greasy, making it a great option for dry hands, elbows, and feet. The blend of shea butter and natural oils gives long‑lasting moisture, and the lavender scent is soft, calming, and not overpowering. It absorbs well, leaves a smooth finish, and works especially nicely as a nighttime moisturizer. The formula is paraben‑free and cruelty‑free, which adds to its appeal if you prefer clean skincare. Overall, it’s a soothing, hydrating body butter that delivers comfort and a gentle lavender aroma perfect for daily use.

Very moisturizing with a lovely subtle scent, but much denser than expected
I ordered this lavender body butter because I liked the ingredient list and the idea of a rich, organic moisturizer for dry skin. Texture: when I first opened the jar, it looked almost whipped, like a mousse, and I expected it to glide easily across my skin like the description suggests. In reality, it’s much denser than it looks. I had to rub it in with more effort than expected, so I decided to use it mainly on smaller dry areas like elbows, knees, and feet rather than all over. Effectiveness: once it’s rubbed in, it works very well. My skin feels noticeably smoother and more hydrated afterward. Absorption / non-greasy: despite the dense texture, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Once absorbed, the finish is comfortable and smooth. Fragrance: the lavender scent is subtle, genuine, and pleasant. It’s not overpowering at all, and I can also detect a soft floral note from the orange blossom. Longevity: the 4 oz jar is small. The company explains that it’s intentionally made in small batches for freshness and shelf stability, which is fair enough, but I don’t think this size would last very long if you were using it as an all-over body moisturizer. For targeted dry areas, it should last much longer. Quality: it comes in a glass jar and uses organic ingredients including aloe juice, lavender, and orange blossom, with no parabens. Value for money: pretty good for an organic product, especially if you’re using it on smaller dry areas rather than head to toe. Bottom line: very moisturizing, pleasantly scented, and non-greasy, but the dense texture makes it less convenient for full-body use. Recommended.

Real lavender makes all the difference
This body butter is a delight. First of all, it’s all organic, per the label. All the ingredients are known safe and effective skincare products. Second of all, it’s from a small, women-owned company based in Portland, from my home state. Third, and most importantly, this is made with real, fresh lavender. I know this because I grow lavender, and when I first opened the jar, it smelled just like freshly cut lavender straight out of the field. There is nothing like it. So many products use “enhanced” lavender fragrance products that end up smelling bad or producing an allergic reaction. Not this jar—it’s all pure and real! The scent is light but it stays with you. The butter is quite thick—a little dab goes a long way. After smoothing it on my always-rough elbows, I felt the softening effect, and the lovely fresh lavender scent lingered for hours. I admit that I had low expectations when I got this product—I’ve been disappointed so many times with synthetically-scented lavender products. But I’m absolutely delighted with this body butter. Not only does it smell like fresh lavender, but it works to soften and smooth the roughest parts of my body. I have sensitive skin and I have not experienced any reaction to the ingredients. This is an absolute win. It’s a little costly, so the way I plan to use it is to focus on the rough parts of my body, like elbows, knees, heels, etc. That way, this jar will last quite a while. If you love the scent of fresh-cut lavender that you can wear all day, and you need a product that makes your rough skin feel soft, supple, and well-moisturized, this is for you.

Thick body butter
This body butter felt nice on. It was too thick to use all over, so I used it on extra dry places - like feet and elbows. I really didn’t enjoy the fragrance - like lavender with a bit of medicinal flair. It was definitely moisturizing and absorbed quickly. I find it a bit expensive, especially if you plan to use it as an all over body butter. I would be through the jar in less than a month. But, if you need a deep moisturizer for limited areas, this is a good product. I feel like it would be good for people that get dry, cracked hands in a cold climate.
