I bought these with the intention of having a better lifting shoe than chucks. What I have ended up with is a pair of great all around shoes.These are not designed as a running shoe, and have very little cushion for such impact. However, I found these to be quite comfortable during a 5k run on a partial dirt/partial concrete path. I would not run any farther than that.The inside of the shoe fits interestingly well. The toe box is roomy, but not floppy loose. The arch does not have significant support, but feels as though there is a stabilizing raised area that sits behind the arch, where it meets the heel. I found that this not only corrects my supination to a degree, but also makes for a much more stable shoe that does not rock from side to side easily.I'm definitely going to invest in more Inov8 shoes, starting with their running shoes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for CrossFit *by A***R on June 15, 2016* I love these! I read a lot of reviews before deciding to get these for CrossFit. I had been wearing Nike Free, which felt kind of slippery inside and so flat. These shoes are great because the laces seem really responsive, they give me room in the toe box for box jumps/jump rope, but also allow for a snug fit on the top of my foot. The back part does fit pretty high on the Achilles, but I wear socks that are long there so this isn't a problem for me. Sometimes, however, I can get an annoying rub while on the rowing machine. Overall, these are a great shoe. Plus, they look so cool! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but only for certain types of training. *by C***C on September 12, 2016* I purchased these shoes for some fitness use (elliptical, rowing, light weight lifting, etc.) and for walking/running around the park with my dog. The reason for the four stars is because these are strictly training shoes and the sizing is off. Now, that may not come as a surprise since they're labeled as training shoes. However, my previous training shoes were also great for walking. These are NOT good at all for walking. I can barely walk a few blocks in these shoes before my feet start to hurt. There's zero arch support in these. Now, I must say that these are great ONLY for training. As in weight lifting, because they allow you to balance with having almost no drop. There is a nice, wide toe box which is also great for balancing. I normally wear a size 6.5/7 and I had to order a 7.5 for these to fit. Order a half size up at minimum, possibly a whole size.
