Looks great. Holds a lot of DVDs. Extremely easy to put together.
This is a very nice looking set of storage shelves. It's called cinnamon cherry, but it's not really red like you might expect from the cherry description. It's a nice, deep color and goes well with a darker color scheme or as an offset to lighter-colored wood furniture. If you have any experience assembling furniture like this, they've actually made some changes to the way you assemble cams that makes it even easier! While I'm not going to say you can assemble this with your eyes closed, I can tell you from personal experience that it can be put together by flashlight. :-) We had just started putting this together when a storm knocked out power to our street...and we finished assembly with me doing the (very easy) work part while my wife and daughter held flashlights for me to see by. Seriously, it does not get any easier than this. The design uses enough pins that the frame was almost perfectly square already, so there wasn't a lot of, "You push here and you pull there while I nail the back on to hold it square" like with a lot of this type of furniture. I'm really pleased with the quality. Pros: Looks great in our living room. Holds a lot of DVDs. Easy to assemble. The cam and pin assembly system on this shelving unit is the easiest I've ever used. Strong materials (yes, not as strong as, say, 3/4" plywood...but it doesn't have to be that strong, even if you're putting CDs on the shelves) Can be configure for storing CDs, DVD/Blu-ray, or a combination of them. Neutral: If you set the unit up for only storing DVD/Blu-ray, you'll have two shelves left over. I don't see that as a problem; it's much better than wanting to use it for storing lots of CDs and being short of shelves, and you can use the spares with some wall brackets to make a couple matching shelves above your DVDs for speakers or something. Cons: Not a single one that I can think of right now. If something happens down the road, I'll change/update here, but from what I've seen so far, I couldn't be happier. I have had people comment on this unit, and I've recommended it to them. So yes, I feel confident enough to tell friends and family to buy it. If you're looking for a storage unit for CDs and DVDs, this is the one I would recommend to you as well.

Great quality, good price.
I bought this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and despite the description stating it was used and had cosmetic damage, what arrived was a brand-new, completely undamaged item in its original packaging. You need a hammer and a screwdriver for assembly, which is pretty standard on furniture like this. Putting the parts together is a breeze. It took me about 45 minutes, including unboxing all the pieces. The instructions were easy to follow. All the parts had holes drilled in the perfect locations, which isn't always true of this type of furniture. The hardest part was putting the rubber caps onto the metal pins that hold the shelves up. Nailing on the back is a little weird since the front of the item is curved, which makes it all rock side to side while you're hitting it, but it wasn't so much that it was a hindrance. Other reviewers have complained of flimsy pieces or too-wide shelves, but I didn't have either problem. The pieces were quite sturdy, the shelves fit snugly but not too tightly, and the whole thing has a solid feel to it. My cat regularly knocks over our dining room chairs and slides smaller furniture by jumping onto it, but she could take a wild leap onto this thing and it might twitch slightly. It seems perfectly stable. I filled the shelves with video games and DVD box sets, and there's not even slight bowing in the middle of the shelves. Even though it's heavy when filled, the plastic feet make it easy to move on wood floors, though I wouldn't trust it to not scrape the floor up a bit. One thing to be aware of is that this comes with six shelves, but you'll only be able to fit four if you're using it for DVDs/BluRays. I could tell just by looking at the stock photo of the item, but I know a lot of people don't check that closely. Even though you have only five shelves, you can fit a lot on them, so I didn't find it to be a problem. Overall, this is a fantastic piece. Comparably-priced media shelving units were all either small, ugly, or both. This is a good, sturdy DVD shelf with a nice finish and a great price tag. If you're looking for something to hold all your DVDs/CDs/video games/similar media holding disclike thing, look no further.

overall, good, depending on how you use it.
This is a good product, for the price. A few things that I have noticed though. First, it is made out of particle or chip board. It is not regular wood. Because of this, do not expect high strength out of it, because they do not use high quality products when making it. It is find for basic things, like DVD's, but not for heavier things, like books. If you are planning on putting something on it, more like books, I would suggest you put something on it, to brace the shelves in the middle, for extra support, or the shelves will sag. and when I say brace, i mean, you could put something behind it, and then screw it in from the back, into the shelves, or if you have something that is the right height, you could just put something in the middle of the shelf, on all shelves, that would space the shelves in the middle, for extra support. either would work. Also, because this is not made out of high quality materials, I have found, that the ones that I have that are near my bathroom door, over time, did seem to sag a bit in the middle. Which I believe was helped due to the humidity that came in from the bathroom over time. What i do is, when they start sagging a bit too much for my taste, I just take everything off of the shelf, flip the shelf over, and then put everything back on. Over time, it just starts bending the opposite way. It does not happen very fast, but it does happen. the adjustable shelves, where it has the inserts about every inch, so you can adjust the shelves to the right height pretty easily, is nice. The color, and overall durability is OK. But considering the price, I think it is made pretty well. Is there better ones out there., Definitely.. But are you going to find them for under $100 for one this size.. Definitely not. so for the price, it is very well made.. Even so, it still is not top notch. Like for example, the back is just a thin piece of cardboard, with basically a sticker that looks like wood on top of it, and that is held on by tiny nails, just around the edge. It is try folded so you see the folds in the back too. If you pull the nails out, that hold the back on, they do come out fairly easily. No tools required. so do not expect a lot of durability out of the back. In the end, I would say, that considering the price, I think that it is very well made. As long as you are willing to make slight alterations to it, if you plan on putting heavy things on it, then you should be fine with it. I mainly use mine for DVD's, and have had mine up for years, and the most I have to do to mine, is about once a year or so, I flip the shelves over, because they start to sag a bit.. Not a lot, but by probably about 1/2" in the middle of the shelf.. But like I said, i partly blame that due to the humidity that comes out of the bathroom, that is close to where the shelves are used. Also, I dont use the feet on mine, So I can not say anything about them, good or bad. In the end, I can say that I would recommend this, because it looks pretty nice, does hold up decently to basic use, and for the price, is pretty cheap and well made for what it costs.

Cheap backing, but decent shelves: Great for the price and really does hold almost 300 dvds!
This is fairly cheap material, but it still gets 5 stars because its very inexpensive. I needed something cheap that would hold a ton of DVDs. We have several series in boxed sets, so one of those racks wouldn't work for us as a boxed DVD set wouldn't fit in a single slot. This didn't hold all of our movies, but it does absolutely hold 260~ + as the description says. It was easy to put together, though I didn't line the backing up as perfectly as I should so its a little off. Still perfectly functional, and I probably could fix it, but I didn't want to compromise the integrity as I'm the kind of person who messes it up the first time anyway. The finish looks nice, and the size is great-- big enough to do the job but not ridiculously oversized. It does come with an anchor mount so you can secure it to the wall (great idea if you have little ones around!) but we simply stored this in my husbands office for now. When the kids are older and less likely to pull off all the DVDs, I can see us purchasing another of these for the rest of our movies and I think it will look nice on either side of the TV.

Great product, especially at the price
I could not be happier with this DVD storage tower. As my collection of DVDs, Blu-Rays, and Video Games has grown over the years, I had gotten to the point of storing far too many of these items in plastic storage bins in my closet. All too frequently I found myself having to sort through these bins to find something, or just not even bothering to look for any movies or games that I know I had but did not have the patience to go hunting for. I finally got fed up with this "system" (or lack thereof) and started to shop around for storage towers. I was shocked to find out how expensive they all seemed to be, and was worried that my closet full of green plastic bins would just be what I would have to deal with. Then I stumbled across this little beauty, and for well under $40 I could store almost 300 DVDs. I was impressed with the review ratings, and ordered immediately. As a Prime member, I got the product very quickly. Assembly was very simple. I am far from a "handy" type person (in fact my entire set of tools I own pretty much consist of a hammer, a philips and a flathead screwdriver, a tape measure, and a drill) but I was able to put this together by myself pretty quickly without a problem. After assembly, I excitedly filled it up right away with DVDs and Blu-Rays, and was shocked to find that I needed another. Once I started unloading those green plastic bins of movies, it never seemed to end...I didn't realize just how much stuff I had. So being that I was so pleased with the product, I ordered myself a second, got it a couple days later, and filled that one as well. The majority of my collection now has a happy home, and I have been able to claim a lot of my closet space back in the process as well. I uncovered a lot of old favorites, and even some movies and games that I had never even removed from the plastic wrap. I seriously cannot give enough praise to this product. It looks great, is very functional, and gives me easy access to all my physical media. Most importantly though, compared to the other similar products I was interested in, this one has the best price by quite a bit. I will probably order another one or two in the near future as well. Very highly recommended!

Great Value, Easy to Put Together, Holds 300 Blu-Rays
So glad I purchased this. PRO'S Great Value - This easily holds 300 blurays. I'm using it right now with 4 shelves (not including the base) and I still have 2 leftover shelves incase I want to use it for CDs or a shelf breaks or warps. Easy to assemble - I admit I went against what the instructions said, and used a drill, but even without it, this thing wouldnt even take 45 mins to assemble. Looks great - It just looks so nice in my room. It's not so tall that it overwhelms people who are looking for things on it, and its not so small that one wonders what the point of it even is. After I put it in the room and put my movies on the shelves, my wife came in, saw it and said she wanted one too. Instructions - Easy to read and follow. The details are very clear, so there's no confusion to what part goes where. CONS Parts - All the screws, nails, cam locks, and pegs are thrown into one bag. I got spoiled with the last shelf I purchased, all the parts were organized onto a cardback with a plastic bubble, and each type of screw and lock were labeled in accordance with the instructions. I wish the same could be said for this one. But at least there are some extra parts, incase you lose one. Nails - You're going to have to nail the back of this case to the frame, as opposed to drilling. Just takes a bit more time, but I feel it was worth mentioning. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good medium size shelf

Doesn't appear to be very durable
I bought two of these to hold 600+ blu-rays. This included UK fat cases, US slim cases and random odd sized ones. One shelf containing mostly US slim cases holds 64 movies (4 were UK fat cases) with some moving room. With the height of the entire shelving unit you can have five shelves total excluding the top of the unit (I placed some random boxsets on the top of one)for blu-rays. You will have either no space, an inch or two inches of unused space this way per shelf. If you want it to look uniform measure a blu-ray case on the bottom and place your first peg a bit higher than the lowest safest spot. Pros: -Holds a lot of movies. -Fairly easy to put together. -I might have lucked out but the bag of screws and other bits had spares. -It has feet that I think add stability on a rug. -Relatively cheap when I bought them. Cons: -The top three shelves on both of my units appear to already be sagging a bit (I put them together yesterday). -The back is a joke. You nail it on around the back edge of the unit. This means if you push a movie back it will push the back out. There is no center support holding that back on unless you plan on permanently nailing in a shelf. The fold lines are also really visible if that is an issue for you. -This was most likely my own fault as I rushed the second unit but it seemed like the back board wasn't quite right. I had it nailed in flush to the edges on one side but it still overlapped the other side near the top a small amount. -The bottom facing portions of the shelves and the bottom board are raw particle board. Not really an issue but it should be taken into consideration. -If you aren't careful you can screw in the side boards a bit off angle. This will make it difficult to get the shelves in as you will need to force them in and have them push at the sides. -Even if you do screw in the side boards completely flush to the outer edges of the top and bottom boards the shelves still need to be almost jammed in. -Those pegs that the shelves rest on might be an issue for taller media or any other media that use more of the available space.

Fantastic for the price, hope more become available
I got one to see how I liked it, and now I want two more but they're not available, so I hope these are restocked soon for the sake of having matching shelves. I use mine for DVD/Blu-ray-sized cases, so I only needed it to be a 5-tier shelf (which the overall dimensions are PERFECT for, with no odd gaps). As others have suggested, I used the remaining two shelves to give the whole thing a structural 'spine' on the back to screw into the shelves, as well as basic little L-brackets from Walmart for further support, to keep the middle of the used shelves from sagging in the future. As a bonus, the the spine should keep the flimsy backboard from being torn off the little nails over time, as is typical with these kinds of shelves. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the product. The point is just to have a place to organize my media collection, so I appreciate that it's not a super decorative shelf that draws attention to the structure itself; very minimalist.
