You just do 1 short spray into the bowl and it makes a film on the water. It's $5.00 or so for a bigger bottle than Poo Pourri. It doesn't have a yucky air freshener scent either. I had to first remove the plastic “label” and a strip of sealing tape from the neck of the bottle. Then I tried prying off the top part, to no avail. It also isn’t threaded, so you can’t unscrew it.
