So it may be a coincidence or maybe Sammie's torn ACL was not significant but 3 months ago we were told if she didn't heal, plan on surgery. I did some research and came up with a home remedy of one joint max tablet, two sea mussel capsules and one fish oil gel tab per meal (twice a day) and behold - we have no lameness at all! And for those who have reviewed negatively about lead content, I called Food Science directly and this is what I was told: The sea mussel product does include minute traces of lead, they had to start labeling their products with this information only because a California law called for it. So those supplements you find in the health food stores not in the State of California still may contain lead, they are just not required to tell you! Has Alfalfa in it as well. Missed that during the purchase, but doesn't hurt my livestock. Works about the same as less expensive in the same dosage. Has the oder you may not like. Wasn't the best value.

Seems to help my 9 YO German Shepherd who has elbow dysplasia. She takes two of these and 3000mg of chondroitin daily. 4 years ago when she started this regiment, she had an acute flare up in both of her elbows and could not walk for several days. The vet recommended green lipped muscle and she has had no more flare ups and increased mobility from that time (only minor limping after longer walks or playing). We thought we were going to have to put her down because we were worried that she'd gone lame and was not a candidate for joint surgery, luckily the pills have helped a lot. Highly recommend for anyone, any dogs , horses ect. with debilitating joint problems. It could help dramatically.

If you have a slipped disk you need it's stupid not to try this. I'm 37 years old and until about 2 years ago I was able to play (dominate) roughly 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately after a couple years at a desk job I was diagnosed with a slipped disk in my back. Anyone who has had a slipped disk knows How severe the pain an be like a dagger in your back when you bend over. This pain has affected my quality of sleep, which trickled into my work performance and gotme to the point where I abruptly stopped playing basketball. Muscle relaxers, chiropractors, adjusting my sleep position, body pillow, ibuprofen, Advil , anti inflammatory prescriptions, foam rollers, therapy ball, Tens therapy, expensive massage machines I have tried them all with varying degrees of relief. Taking two of these a meal has literally made my back feel like I don't have a slipped disk. After a while I made the mistake of thinking I was " miraculously healed" and stopped taking them daily. That was a mistake that I won't repeat. These area game changer that have literally given me the ability to be active again. I can't suggest this product enough for the price. I stumbled onto this product because of a commercial I saw (I forgot the product name) . They listed green lipped mussels as the active ingredient but it was very expensive. Ordered 2-3 bottles of this product. My husband took them for a spell and “thought” they worked. When he ran out, I decided not to re-order just to see if he noticed a difference. Well, he did not notice any difference whatsoever. So, a final review would be they did not and never did work for him.

I've tried a lot of "joint supplements" since stopping physical therapy for a non-surgical shoulder injury from 6 years ago. The therapy was making it worse, constantly re-injuring the shoulder, so I stopped. This is the first product that I feel is working. I've been using the product for about 8 weeks. It was around week 7 that, for the first time in over 6 years, I have had relief from daily muscle spasms and sharp pains (when I raise my arm). In the past if I washed my car or vaccuumed the rug, I would be in pain for days. Now I can do both with virtually no pain. I think I could go back to therapy now and build some strength without hurting myself every time. UPDATE 9/2/2015 - This has changed my life. My shoulder is almost back to pre-injury condition. I am able to exercise without re-injury, I have no spasms or muscle pain in the shoulder/neck area anymore and no more joint pain or 'bone on bone' feeling. I'll also add that I am not a good patient, you are supposed to take 2 pills/3 times day but I frequently miss the 3rd dose, so this stuff is working for me on "somewhat" less then the recommended dose. If I could give it a sixth star, I would. It's nice to feel normal again after so many years. I no longer take Aleve everyday or use heating pads for relief. I was using heat so often that I had 4 of them (one at work, one that kept plugged in by the couch, one by the bed, and one in my study).
