Pretty good!
This is a good gin-flavored syrup for making a non-alcoholic gin and tonic with lime. Of course there’s no alcohol bite, but the tonic and lime are tart enough, and the syrup adds the resinous pine and juniper note.

Tastes like minty soap
I’ve read a lot of reviews about this product. So I spent a lot of time researching it before I purchased it. After all the zero alcohol spirits are pretty expensive. I was excited when it arrived. However, I was quickly disappointed after I mixed it in a gin and tonic. This product taste like minty dish soap. Since I haven’t had a drink of alcohol in over 30 years I can’t tell you if it really taste like gin. I would imagine most gins don’t taste like minty dish soap. It didn’t mix well any cocktail I tried it in. I was really disappointed in this product and I’m not sure that it is a good replacement for gin.

Misunderstood
This stuff is probably about as good as it gets without being GIN. what everyone fails to understand is there is NO Alcohol, therefore it will NOT taste the SAME. It is similar only. The only real way to enjoy it is in a cocktail (Mocktail). It is like Caffeine-free Coke/Pepsi, it will not taste the same, like something is missing. If anyone has ever tried Juniper berries, then you will understand, that they do NOT taste great. And only through distillation does the great change happen to create the flavors of Gin. This does not claim to be GIN, but a GIN ALTERNATIVE. I have seen other reviews from people saying things about electronics and giving 0, 1, or 2 stars because it failed in the rain (without any claim the product is waterproof). This is much the same, not GIN, not GIN, not GIN... Get it!

Good substitute for Gin
The Dhos Gin Free is a reasonably good substitute for gin in a gin and tonic and a gin + lemonade. The first drink was definitely not gin and tonic, but a little fiddling with the proportions yielded a respectable drink. I use 3/4 oz Dhos Gin Free to 3 3/4 ounces tonic with a squeeze of lime. Where it really shows is with lemonade: Squeeze a slice of lemon over ice in a rock glass, add 2 drops of bitters, 3/4 oz Dhos Gin Free and half a bottle of Fever Tree sparkling Sicilian Lemonade. It tastes like a "real" adult beverage. Another reviewer recommended 1/8 t cayenne pepper to imitate the alcohol finish. Dhos Gin Free has a black pepper note that provides some bite in the finish. That may be why it works.

New Packaging & Recipe. Not the same as what they've been selling
I've enjoyed Dhos for the year and a half since I stopped drinking. To me, it tastes a bit like a Bombay or Bombay Sapphire, but obviously different. BUT, this time they sent me it in different packaging and it tastes different, with more citrus to it. Not as good as the original and disappointed that I was not made away of the packaging and recipe change. Not sure if I'll order more as it's not as good as the original. See the difference in ingredients

not at all like gin
If you like gin and are trying to find a non-alcoholic substitute, all I can say is this is not it. It has a really odd smell and is awful tasting on it's own. The Dhos bitersweet is amazing - but this gin substitute is no way an approximation.

Alcohol free "gin"
I am a huge real gin fan, but as I have aged, I really don't drink much (1 or 2 drinks in a year) and I was looking for something a little refreshing to add to the tonic and fresh lime - I love tonic and lime but is crying for gin! This stuff is interesting and that's about as good as I can do. It smells odd.. and tastes even stranger. There is a pepper bite at the end. Interesting but not realistic. Further, in my personal opinion it tastes like chemicals, which are definitely in there. Check the label. I was happy it wasn't sweetened with aspartame or sucralose. But even that couldn't save it for me. It also has a blue hue to it. Which I suppose is a shot at sapphire gin? I am a Tanqueray 10 fan myself and it's clear - my preference. So, at 30 bucks a bottle it's an investment - and everyone likes something different. And I think they really tried to come up with something that would work for gin here, but sadly for me, it's a NO GO. Two stars for effort, NO stars for taste. I can't think of a single way to to use it, so I dumped it. Ouch. I personally will enjoy my 1 or 2 gin and tonics a year with real gin and pass on a more frequent shot of this stuff. I did give it a good college (so to speak) try.

Best non-alcoholic sugar free gin
I honestly think this is the best non-alcoholic and sugar free gin. I’m on my third bottle and have purchased multiples on the Dhos website to gift to friends who are on Keto, low carb diets, pregnant, breastfeeding or are going dry for other reasons. Pretty much everyone agrees it does a great job of replicating the juniper flavours of gin along with an interesting “burn”. I’ve tried Monday (expensive, strange flavour), Seedlip (taste nothing like gin, more like overpriced water) and Ritual (too sweet, has sugar, not keto friendly). By far, I prefer Dhos Gin. I love that it makes a great gift and it’s a conversation starter. It was funny the shocked looks I got when I turned up with Dhos Gin at a baby shower before I explained everything. Then people got excited because it’s something interesting that everyone can try. I love that it’s zero calories and sugar free so I can enjoy a drink guilt free. And I think it’s very good value.
