Moroccan Argan Oil USDA ORGANIC Pure Cold-Pressed Hair & Skin 4oz

I use this as a lotion. Here’s what I’ve learned having olive ethnic dry skin. I love tanning. I never burn. This stuff along with NOW brand oils with whatever scent of essential oil you prefer added to it, or just this stuff alone works to prevent sunburn, but it also works to increase tanning. Idk the sorcery, but after a weekend trip floating the Quad river- & falling asleep at the beach that same summer-with a large group of friends that all got burnt with the exception of me, wearing these oils all day long -all while getting the best tan ever 🤷‍♀️ plus a little research has proven that sunscreens & marketed tanning products are the REAL cause of skin disorders, NOT sun or UV rays.. don’t believe me- try it (with the exception of the pale ginger skin tones) However, my daughter is pale like her Dad & they both used my NOW oil concoction at the pool & didn’t burn for the 1st time in their lives. I wouldn’t recommend using this oil as a sunscreen, but certainly as a bronzer or moisturizer. I also use it in my hair.

EDIT: it’s been a very harsh winter so far and this oil alone isn’t keeping up with the dry top layer of skin, unfortunately. It still doesn’t cause any breakouts though. ORIGINAL: This oil actually moisturizes over night!!! Any non comedogenic oil, or oil mix I’ve ever used wasn’t as moisturizing as I’d hoped and my face would feel dry by morning. This oil keeps my skin moisturized all night and I’m impressed. It also doesn’t break me out! I’ve noticed my combination skin has evened out: it’s not as dry after my shower and doesn’t get extremely oily an hour later from starting the day too dry (that’s always been my battle). I’m a 40something female who can’t use a lot of the hyped up wrinkle creams, due to reactive and cloggy skin. I also don’t like creams with a ton of ingredients that I can’t pronounce. This oil really moisturizes and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles for me, in this cold weather we’ve been having. I haven’t used in the summer humidity yet. 🤞 I use 2 pumps of oil after my shower before bed, then another pump focused on fine lines around eyes and sides of my lips. I also use 2 pumps after washing my face in the am, before makeup. I use cream makeup and then dust some powder and bronzer over top. The oil is perfect for blending cream makeup. After powder and bronzer, I use a little bit of the oil on top of my smile lines/upper cheekbone area near my eyes, on my lips and a little around my lips. It sinks in and marries with my powder by the time I leave the house for work and gives me a really nice glow without using pore clogging, shimmery stuff. I also think it helps with the appearance of fine lines in those areas of my face. I really hope this helps someone!

I'm so glad I found out about argan oil. I've struggled to find the best way to style my hair pretty much my entire life, and it's not that I have bad hair but that my hair is fine: I have a thick, full head of hair but the individual strands themselves are thin and lightweight, meaning my hair likes to get frizzy, blown around in the wind, and morph into awful bed-head on a nightly basis. From middle school right through college in the early 2000s, I tried my mom's hairspray, experimented with mousse, gel, and paste, tried combing it various ways versus styling with just my fingers, tried both short and long haircuts...and I muddled through. Sometimes it was okay and sometimes I hated it. But then I randomly came across a dermatologist's blog where he was recommending regular conditioning but to shampoo only once a week (this was years before the "no poo" movement became a thing). And that really worked for me. Your own natural oils are the most effective & best-looking hair product. I shampoo on Sundays to thoroughly clean my hair and scalp but I use this argan oil to replace my natural oils immediately afterward, then the next day I'll rinse only, and the rest of the week I'll condition only (which keeps the oil from building up too much). Using just a couple of squirts of Pura D'Or after shampooing is a perfect solution. Put it on your hands and work it in thoroughly all over your head while your hair's still damp. It allows me to style my hair normally, prevents frizzyness, is flexible, and looks neither greasy nor crusty (like spray/mousse/gel does). It has no detectable scent, and even though it's an oil, it's not greasy at all: you can rub it into your hands and it will disappear much like lotion. Speaking of that, I also use it on some dry patches of skin and it does a nice job of moisturizing without being greasy. Oh, and did I mention that it's NOT GREASY? The other thing I use it for on a daily basis is for a beard oil, just rubbing a little into my beard to keep that hair supple and well-behaved. Beard oil can be expensive and I don't especially want a scented product right under my nose all day long. Again argan oil works great for this task. I can't compare this brand to other argan oils, but I'm so impressed with Pura D'Or. $20 for 4 oz seems like a lot, but honestly a bottle lasts FOREVER, even though I use it daily (and I believe there are other brands that are much more expensive, no?). It's totally worth it to me just so I don't look ridiculous after shampooing. But I use it for two other things anyway, which is just a bonus. So in summary, I use it on my hair, skin, and beard, it's a decent value, it works amazingly...and oh yeah, it's not greasy. Totally recommended if you have fine hair, facial hair, or just want to try something different on your skin.

To my nose, the oil smells a bit like the way an olive tastes — earthy, almost like manure. I love olives, so it doesn't bother me, but my bf is less enthused about it. However, the scent seems to dissipate quickly. Since getting the bottle, I've been using it for various skin-related issues: 1. Facial moisturizer: I really like the way the skin on my face feels after moisturizing with a little bit of this oil. At first, I would pump 1-2 drops into my palms then rub it into my face. That actually made me break out ): After some trial and error, the method that works for me is to pump a couple drops in my palms, rub it over my hands like hand lotion, then use the tiny residual amount leftover on my palms to gently pat my face. Deposits just enough oil to moisturize my face without saturating it in too much oil and making me break out. 2. Hair moisturizer: 2-3 drops on my palms, rub around like hand lotion, then run my hands through my hair. It controls flyaways and makes my hair feel silky. I like combing some through my hair before I sleep. I've noticed my hair is healthier and more hydrated since using this regularly. 3. Beard balm: I like to think it makes my bf's beard less scratchy, but the effect isn't major. He does like how it feels on his beard though. 4. My FAVORITE use for this oil, and the #1 reason why I'd buy this again — body moisturizer. At night, my skin gets really itchy for no discernible reason. My legs, arms, and back get these itchy hives-like spots. Rubbing this oil onto the itchy spots stops all irritation within seconds, and I no longer have to scratch myself. It's amazing. I don't know how or why, all I know is that it works to calm down my night hives. I've also noticed that my scattering of chest acne — recurring breakouts and scarring on my chest kept me from wearing low-neck shirts for the past two months — calmed down and faded away within a week of regular oil application. So in summary, this oil performed much better than I expected, and because 1-2 drops go such a long way, I think it's well worth the price tag.

Excellent value for all the key aspects to look for in Moroccan oil. Higher prices /products out there but doesn't mean better than this. I have highly processed blonde fine hair. I only use 1 protein product (biosilk silk therapy) following sulfate free shampoo/ conditioner, and add this oil to semi-damp hair. My hair is shiny, controls fly aways and does not weigh it down. Very little needed.

Excellent Beard and Skin Oil – Part of My Daily Routine I’ve personally bought this URA D’OR Moroccan Argan Oil about 12 times now. I started using it a couple of years ago for my beard after my wife was already using it for her hair, and I figured I’d give it a try. It turned out to be amazing and is now part of my daily beard maintenance routine. Moisturizing: It does an excellent job keeping both beard hair and skin moisturized without feeling heavy or greasy. Thickness: The oil is lightweight and not overly thick, which makes it easy to apply and distribute evenly. Hair Growth: While I can’t say it “grows” hair, it definitely helps improve the overall condition and health of my beard over time. Leakage: The bottle has been reliable with no issues of leaking during storage or travel. Hair Condition: It noticeably improves softness and manageability, making the beard feel healthier and easier to maintain. Consistency: Very consistent product from bottle to bottle, which is important since I’ve repurchased it many times. One thing I’ve noticed is that it used to have a slight hint of tea tree or menthol, which I actually liked, but it seems that has changed over time. Also, while it is a bit on the expensive side for beard use, I still think it’s worth it for the quality. It doesn’t smell “girly” at all, and even my wife mentions that whatever is left on my hands after applying it can be used on dry skin as well, which is a nice bonus. Nothing comes close in comparison to this amazing product for relieving dry problem skin conditions. Nothing! I am 57, have advanced Palmoplantar Keraterderma (since 2010), which in layman's terms is a serious hardening of the skin on the soles of the feet and the palms of the hands. I live in AZ, an incredibly dry state which adds to this problem of cracked soles and palms that break open and bleed and peal constantly. My dermatologist has tried everything to cure my condition, which is of course stress related. I've been on $500 prescriptions for Clobex, Calcitratin, Hydrocortizones, etc. and nothing managed to keep my skin moist, pliable, or allow it to heal. I've used petroleum jelly and saran wrap to alleviate the condition, but inevitably the skin dries every time after showering and once the shoes are off. I've used Aveeno Eczema Therapy cream, Cetaphil Restoraderm (for months), and other over the counter remedies recommended by my dermatologist. They all failed to maintain consistent moisture within the layer of derm beneath the surface skin, and the minute I had to bathe or wash my hands I was back to square one. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here to tell you this is the answer. This is the one! The miracle cure. I've used Pura D'or now for three days with four small applications to my hands and feet. I've also bathed, washed my hair, done some housecleaning without gloves, etc, and guess what? My hands remained soft and pliant. No kidding! I was amazed. And my feet...well, the minute I applied the oil the thickening of the soles began to soften and literally peel off! I've never had such ease in removing these stubborn and normally painful calluses that crack and bleed. Well, the bleeding is gone, the calluses have disappeared, the soles are soft and pliable. I used this oil on my husband's arthritic feet for a good long rub and he said he slept like a baby and the callous on the ball of his foot is magically gone. This is the only item you will ever need in your medicine cabinet for fast dry skin relief...ever! I have coarse straight hair, but it is light enough to me moved by the wind. I used to use Garnier fruitis and that was light weight enough to have each of the hair strand floating. This product is pretty much like corn oil, thick in consistency, no where near light as it feels like a heavy oil, when I put it on my hair it grips and vecome stuck to other strands making my head feels like I havent showered in days, one good thing though. I find it pretty good for skin, especially in winter time. It does not make my hair feel softer like other light oil products, but those products have alcohol which dries the hair. As for shine, it's not much noticable. I have 50% grey hair that is long so it glissens like glass in the sun, but this mutes it down. Will still use it, but if you are looking for something light but moisturising for coarse hair, this is not it. I think getting a glob of cheap coconut oil on hair is more useful.

Exelente, leí muchas reseñas negativas del producto, pero al menos a mi me fue muy bien, es un aceite fluido con un aroma a nuez muy ligero apenas perceptible y con un color muy ligero, según e leído estás deben de ser las características de un auténtico aceite de argán, aplicó una pequeña cantidad en mi rostro y se absorve muy rápido y para nada deja sensación grasosa o brillosa, no me causó ningún brote y me deja la piel supersuave , en el cabello tampoco lo deja con apariencia grasienta, claro hay que moderarse con la cantidad con una bomba o dos es más que suficiente, además rinde muchísimo llevo ya dos meses usándolos a diario y apenas voy con una cuarta parte.

I accidentally stumbled upon Argan oil. And thank god for that. This is a great product and really helps with the dryness. It needs to be used in small quantities - a few drops should be enough. I am using it on my hair, face and neck. It is quickly absorbed on the skin and moisturizes well. At the same time it doesn't feel oily/greasy. This is what makes this oil unique and unlike any other oil that I have used. Planning to using it for long term.
