We just got a new front load washer and it's awesome! What wasn't awesome is that the door doesn't stay slightly open on its own in order to prevent mold, mildew, and the musty odors from developing inside the rubber seal. Amazon to the rescue!!! Super helpful! My mom wanted this so that she could leave the washer door cracked (to prevent mold) without leaving it wide open. The magnet is nice and strong, and the arm is big/long enough to grab onto the door. Only thing that doesn't make it five stars is that the spot where the bendy part connects with the magnet is not super strong. I don't think there's wire there, so it sags just a little bit. Other than that, it's a great product.

Let's face it, the easiest way to ruin a front loader is to keep the door shut when not in use. Front loaders have to dry out between uses or they develop a horrible musty-moldy smell inside the machine and on the rubber seal. This little gadget is ingenious. It's bendable and formable to configure any way you want. Very strong magnet to keep in place. My laundry room is located in a hall pass through between garage and house, I hate it, there's never enough room to keep the door open on my front loader, but this gadget keeps the door blocked open about an inch (or as much as you want) enough to allow air to dry inside, and still gives me enough room to get through the small space without any problems. It's a real bargain for the small price I paid for it.

This allows my front load washer to stay Fresh and not get stale with the door closed. Highly recommended Easy to put on an off Good magnet holds on place Very bendable so you can have it open as much or as little as you want! Just pull it off when you do a load of laundry and put on to dry out your machine! Fantastic

When I moved into my house, it came with a front load washer with a rubber gasket. I knew they molded and corroded (this one had begun too), but I still hadn’t found a way to keep the door open. Fast forward three years and the washer kept smelling like mold despite it being cleaned once a month. I purchased one of these to help “air” it out and it has worked wonders!
