It’s hard to find a good one for a gravel bike, these look promising.** A: Yes I have used it on my road bikes for triathlons. It will accomidate any bike that allows the bike tire to turn 90 degrees parallel to the tailgate. It is a great minimalistic option. **Q: Will this work with a 21’ trek fuel ex8, considering the knock block prevents the wheel from turning completely 90°?** A: Hi, it will not work with the knock block. Some people have been able to make it work but I don’t recommend it. **Q: Will this scratch the paint on the tailgate?** A: No! It actually protects your tailgate while the bike is held securely in place. My tailgate is like new.
