An excellent screen-type electric shaver without a fault, priced well.
This is the latest Remington screen shaver, the best one they have ever made. It’s just about waterproof, lightweight, fast charging, long-running, and like nearly all screen shavers, gives you a glass-smooth face without any nicks, cuts, or skips. (It will give you controlled stubble, too, if you want.) It can be used dry, or as I have done with screen shavers for decades, with a wet face and a little gentle soap like Neutrogena. The big difference with this shaver is that it is designed for wet use—it’s truly waterproof, and can be rinsed under the faucet when done, and all parts that get wet won’t get rusty. This is the only Remington that was ever designed to work wet, though I’ve successfully used a long string of Remingtons that way successfully with careful rinsing and thorough drying, and added electrical insulation for the earliest of them. This one uses a rechargeable internal battery and a wall-plug low voltage supply, so it’s perfectly safe to use wet since you only plug it in to recharge it. All in all, I dare any users of expensive Braun or other screen shavers to get a better or faster shave thn this $50 shaver delivers. Though no screen shaver will survive a drop onto the floor if the screen end hits the floor, this one will probably only need a new screen and cutter. All in all, buy it and try wet shaving. You’ll never go back to a dry Braun.

Close Shave, Ergonomic, Easy to Clean
I have around a dozen Remington shavers, most of them new, and some are old stock plug ins which I like better than the battery-powered ones. But this shaver is outstanding in virtually every way. The dual foil (which Remington used to call MicroScreen) cuts close and is very comfortable. This shaver does have a lifetime warranty (except for batteries and cutter/foils), so if anything happens like the switch breaks, or the pivot breaks, they'll replace it. This shaver is very quiet and the thing I like most is that, at age 76, my hands are a little unsteady, and this shaver has great rubber grips on the side. I don't take my shaver in the shower, but for those who do, that would be an even greater benefit. This shaver is very reasonably priced too. Unlike some of Remington's other shavers, this switch is hard plastic...a benefit. Some have a rubber-covered switch. My experience is that these eventually wear through and then you are pushing the plastic button under the switch. I give this great marks. If there is only one minor thing, it seems the foil cover does not snap on as securely as my F5-5800 models. Some other reviewers mentioned that too, but thus far, it is not an issue. I guess I would sum up that this great shaver is fairly priced, lightweight, quiet, close shaving, and feels good in your hands and it won't slip as much as some others shavers might. Thanks to Amazon, as it is much cheaper than in some major retailers, including Remington itself.

Good razor but good luck getting them to honor the warranty
Virtually, not literally, indestructible. After about 3 and a half years, the bracket that hold the blades broke in the head of the razor. The razor was great up until this point. The nonsense that ensued concerning the warranty is where they lost one star in the rating. Because it had a lifetime warranty, I contacted the company. Customer service was responsive but not very accommodating. I was told that all was needed an email with proof of purchase and a picture of the broken part. After I sent that email, we corresponded on at least three additional occasion as they kept requesting additional pictures. This went on for a couple of weeks until it was approved for me to send the razor back to them for inspection and I had to pay return shipping. Then no word. It took a subsequent call and emails where I had to prove I sent it to them by providing them the tracking number. Only then did I finally receive a replacement. I really believe that they were hoping I would give up. Very disappointing. It was such a production for a low cost item.

So Far, So Goood.
Over the years I’ve been using a wet/dry electric shaver in in the shower for many years, and I’ve used all the major brands, and many unknown Chinese knockoffs. I’ve used ridiculously expensive models to downright cheapos. No matter the brand, and no matter the cost, there seems to be a common thread: These appliances have a short shelf life. They’ll work just fine for a while, and one day when you’re all set for a shave you go to turn it on, and it’s dead as Disco. So if the opportunity presents itself, I always purchase an Asurion insurance policy with the shaver. Anyway, before I took to shaving in the shower, I used plain old school dry shavers I’ve had a few Remingtons, and I’ve always found them to be reasonably priced, and superior quality. I’ve only had this wet/dry shaver for a couple of months now, and it’s hanging in there like a champ. This provides a nice, smooth close shave that I’ve come to expect from Remington.

Shaves quickly. A bit noisy
I have shaved with this a total of once, so take that into consideration. I have used a Norelco rotary 3-head shaver for the past 20+ years. I used to have a “foil” type, like this one, but kept getting Norelcos for Christmas, etc. I like the foil type better. It is a no-nonsense shaver, and gives a smoother shave than the rotaries, in my opinion. None of the random stray whiskers left on my neck like the other type. My old Norelco was getting to where it pulled whiskers, and I couldn’t reliably find new heads, so I switched. I recall the good and bad of the foil type. This one can be used wet or dry, which is a real plus. It is like the old foil type that i had, that is, a bit noisy compared to the rotary, but this is a shaver, and the goal is a good shave, so i disregard that aspect. I recommend it so far. Has a nice pop up trimmer and fits the hand well. Gave a really smooth shave.

Didn’t give a clean shave really

La máquina funciona bien, la batería dura mucho (llevo mas de un mes usándola 3 veces por semana, sin cargarla). La delineada y recorte son fáciles. Ya solo uso rastrillo para dejar bien rasurado.
