I have silver hair and this colored it completely black for a Halloween costume. I applied it to damp hair, and it dried stiff like hair gel. It was perfect for my costume, but I wouldn’t want to use it daily, as my hair was so stiff. It washed out completely on the first try with no mess.

Unfortunately, this hair coloring wax did not work out for me at all. My natural hair is light brunette, and instead of giving the bold black look I was going for, it made me look like I had just crawled out of a cave after surviving there for 60 years. The texture ended up greasy, clumpy, and somehow grayish instead of black. I was supposed to be channeling the lead singer of My Chemical Romance for a costume, but the final result was less emo rockstar and more “mysterious figure spotted wandering through the woods.” To make things funnier, I was also dressed as Michael Bublé on the other side of the costume situation, so thankfully at least half the night made sense. Another issue was how easily the product transferred. Touch your hair once? On your hands. Lean against something? On that too. It made moving around stressful, which is not exactly ideal when you’re trying to enjoy a costume party. One of these years I WILL successfully pull off the MCR look… but it will not be with this product. UPDATE: After I posted this review, the company contacted me apologizing and told me to reply with “full refund.” So I did… immediately. Then I received an automatic email saying the address does not receive incoming emails. So… what exactly was the plan there 😂

Left my hair looking dull and crunchy, not at all like any shiny black hair pics. I washed it out same day. Wanted it for a Halloween costume. Probably will get a wig? Disappointed in the BS advertising pics they use! Should have known I guess

It looks silver in the bottle so I was a But skeptical but it definitely dyed my blonde son’s hair black very well. It did dry very clumpy, but I only used it once so perhaps I just put in too much at a time. Washed out nicely and there is plenty left to use many more times.

Worked great for cosplay. I got pink and black and mixed together it makes a maroon. Knocked out two costumes. Washes out easy.

Disappointed, my brunette daughter wanted to dress as Wednesday for Halloween. They made her hair look silver, not black. It also caked on and when we tried to under apply it barely looked like anything was there.

I use it to create some dark undertownes in my Gray hair. It gives my hair more dimension. And it washes out immediately if I don't like what I've done with my streaking technique. I could also rub it into all of my hair and create a different look. Again, that would be something that I could immediately wash out if I didn't like. If I had one suggestion, it would be to make it not so metallic looking and shiny. Because that makes it looking a little fake.

Bought black, pink & purple. The colors were okay but the black arrived used/unsealed (a return, yuck) and it didnt make hair black, just dark gray like steel color gray. I'm returning it. DONT SEND RETURNED OPENED USED ITEMS UNLESS YOU LIST THEM LIKE THAT & DISCOUNT IT! THATS not professional its gross! It is icky & yucky type stuff in general BUT my TEEN is happy enough with the pink & purple, although the colors arent bright or brilliant once in the hair. He put it in his thin, light brown dreads & twisted, so manageability was not an issue for him. The colors show up but arent very noticeable. Buy something else, cant recommend.
