Are they safe to use on platinum?** A: Yes! These cloths are recommended by Charles and Colvard for moissanite cleaning. If you have a stubborn oil slick you can use Wright’s silver polishing cream. The tarnish will come off. Hope that helps! **Q: Can you use these on your glasses to remove small surfaced scratches?** A: There are micro-abrasives in the cloth but I dont know how deep it will clear scratches. I tried it on my reading glasses and it did make them very clear but minor scratches are still visible. There are different grades of Sunshine cloth. The yellow is the middle abrasive, the blue is the lightest abrasive and the pink is a double sided abrasive that gives a satin finish. **Q: Is this safe for Ultrafine silver (brand name) made in Italy ?** A: It would depend whether it is sterling or plated. I am not familiar with that particular brand. **Q: Can’t you wash and or clean these cloths incense they turn black?** A: They still work to polish even after they are black with tarnish, but your hands will get a bit dirty and you may also need to wipe the jewelry off with a clean cloth after polishing... If that is bothersome to you, throw it out and start with a new one.
