This foot pump is awesome! Doesnt leak at all! Hook up was so easy! I would recommend this to anyone!

Great for use in our RV galley
It pumps a lot of water with each pump. Great for use in our RV galley. Only downside - it makes the water taste like plastic. We use this for washing dishes but not for drinking/cooking.

Whale quality stands alone.
Whale always makes a great product. There are cheaper knockoffs, but Whale spare parts are available world-wide and they last far longer than their competitors. Definitely worth the extra money.

Zero support for Whale products
My dog decided the rubber foot pads were great chew toys and Whale will not sell me a replacement foot pad. I have to buy another pump to get a new foot pad. This is ridiculous!! Whale used to be a good company but they have gone downhill. I am in the process of removing all Whale products from my boat and I am discovering the competitors are making better products with better support.

Would not but again
We bought this to replace a TMC brand pump (that I heard is a knockoff is the Whale Gusher?) that failed after less than a year and a half. The Whale Gusher is sooo noisy. Super heavy squeaks with every pump. It also loses it's prime and takes 2 pumps just to get the water started.Even though the other one didn't last that long, it's functionality was so much better before or started leaking. When I wrote Whale Gusher through their website directly, they never responded. When I wrote again to follow up on it about a month later, they still didn't respond.I think I'm going to be getting a TMC and just expect to replace it from time to time. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll last longer. I've heard that Whale is not the same highly praised company that they used to be and from my experience, I can believe it.

Not all are leakproof
My first water pump worked great for 3 years. The replacement worked for one day and started leaking. It is a hour job to remove and replace the pump for me so I was not happy. Not to mention the water in the bottom of my cabinet

Excellant pump but you need to add a simple pre filter as even a small weed will cause it to loose prime as it lodges under the rubber valve surface.
