Fragile
I bought these because I got tired of having to choose between my prescription glasses and 3D glasses when going to movies. Unfortunately, I never got to find out how well they work because they broke in the case before I got to use them for the first time. The lenses are good quality, and having something clip to my eyeglasses rather than replacing them is far superior to squinting at the movie screen through the theater-issued 3D glasses. But the clip to attach them is fragile, and only held together by a very thin piece of plastic that is under spring tension. If that snaps off, these become useless. So 5 stars for picture quality, 5 stars for comfort, 4 stars for weight (there are lighter options out there) but only 2 stars overall for how stupidly fragile they are. That hinge really NEEDS to be metal or high-strength plastic, but unfortunately it's not.

these clip-ons have made it possible to enjoy 3D together again
We bought these because my partner requires glasses now to avoid getting headaches. We were about ready to give up on 3D movies as trying to wear both regular and 3d glasses wasn't working and using just the 3D glasses would give him a headache. While we still need to be central seated in the theater and not too close to the screen, these clip-ons have made it possible to enjoy 3D together again. Now if they just made a clip on that worked at the Disney World theaters.

Worked for me
So far I've only had the chance to use the IMAX version when I saw Star Trek last week. I initially had some concerns because other reviewers have said that the clips that hold the product onto your glasses were distracting. Luckily for me, they weren't distracting at all. I didn't even notice them. I also had a minor concern because the clip-ons are larger than my glasses which are rimless but they worked perfectly and didn't scratch my lenses. The case that the pair comes with is like stiff leather but I think with time it will get soft. I'm most likely going to buy a hard plastic case to protect them better. Each pair comes in separate plastic bags do they won't rub against each other when they are in the case. While I haven't tried the Real ones yet, I don't think there will be any problems with them. This product has solved the very annoying problem of having to wear two pairs of glasses at the movies.

Great Combo for glasses-wearing persons
I had a negative experience at one theatre with the RealD 3-D clip-on lens as they did not work then. Yesterday however, saw Beauty & the Beast at another theatre and it was amazing to enjoy such an effects-heavy movie without the hassle of a glasses over my normal glasses - WOW! The clip-ons worked perfectly also the IMAX 3-D version did just as well. Both lenses have good construction, comes in a nice case, fairly easy to identify & install in the dark, can't misplace during bathroom break, covers the width of normal glasses and works as described. A must-buy for glasses-wearing folk and it enhances both formats 3-D viewing enjoyment.

Started out not bad, but broke while in their case
They worked, at least at first. However, the build quality was poor, the IMAX lenses were crooked, which only affected the picture at the edge of one lens (one lens was turned a bit so that it was high compared to the other, and so didn't fully cover one of my glasses lenses). Now after only 3 uses, the IMAX pair was broken, though it had been fine last time I used it and I had put it back into its ziploc bag and into the outer case. Essentially strain of metal spring meets cheap plastic and it broke where the lenses would flip up. I just ordered a different brand of the IMAX. Here's hoping the Real3D hold out better.

Disappointed in the Imax pair.
So, I originally gave these 4 stars instead of 5 because the Imax pair came apart the second time I tried to use them, but I was able to put them back together again. Well, they came apart again last night when I tried to put them on my glasses.(4th use) If I can put them back together again, I might give them back one of the 2 stars I took away, but right now I am just annoyed that they come apart every other time I try to use them. The RealD pair seems sturdier, maybe I just got a bad Imax clip-on.They are about the same size as regular clip-on sunglasses. (see picture. Sunglasses on left, RealD in the middle, Imax on right.)

A Pair of 3D Clipons for both REAL 3D & IMAX! Yes please!
I could never sit comfortably in the theater with the generic 3D glasses over my prescription lenses. I haven't been able to use these clipon ones yet, but I tried them on my frames and I like what I see so far. Everything was so realistic, even without the theater!

DONT WORK.. DONT DONT BUY
Yeah went to see Venom in RealD 3D and to my disappointment these didn't work at all. Look else where because these glasses are worthless.
