There were a couple of soft cases at about $80+ each that claimed to fit them. But there was nothing nothing that would suit our purpose - we needed something pretty robust because we ship our units to events with UPS Ground. We purchased four of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CBY2EIO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 and added a quick and dirty customized foam interior to protect the speaker and accommodate the wireless mike system and amp connecting cable etc. We found that we should have added reinforcing tape around the top of the cases to cover and strengthen the hinge areas. We actually use the amp within the box with the box on its side and the lid open. One of the staff picked a unit up by grabbing the lid and it caused the case to split slightly down the side of the hinge. Heavy-duty reinforced tape fixed the problem and we subsequently added the reinforcement to all the boxes. So far so good. The units have survived a return UPS trip from NH to TX and look to be in good shape and the amps etc. were all in good shape. For shipping we tape around the body so the units can't come open. Been very impressed by the speaker system itself. More than adequate for presentations in 200+ seat rooms. In a 100+ seater we have to drop the volume right down. **Q: How would I hook up a hard disc recorder for recording thru this?** A: You have to do that through the rear, all the connections from the front is input based, so that you can connect your line in, be it a microphone, iPod or media player but from the rear, there are two cannon connections, one is designed as a line-out and the second is for looping through a couple of them together, just incase you have a few units to be used all at the same time. So whichever device, you'll love to capture the audio output with, just make sure it has a cable interface with a basic 3pin cannon plug connector, then you connect it to the line-out (not the second connector as that is an input only for looping multiple units together) then the signal will be recorded sweetly. If you are using multiple speakers maybe like 3 or 4 units looped together, then you must connect the recorder to the last speaker box in the loop as the line-out will be free for tethering any recorder. I hope this helps! **Q: Can this be easily used in Australia with 240v power supply? I'm not sure if there is a single global model, or whether a unit you buy in the US would have a different power supply than one purchased in Australia. **Q: Can I use a electric Bass Guitar** A: You can plug anything you'd like into re 205, but I wouldn't recommend using it for a bass amp. Having your guitar and voice amplified allows you to practice in a way that is more like what you experience on stage! So I began researching what are sometimes referred to as "Personal PAs". I wanted something small, compact and simple to set up. And I wanted decent sound with some respectable volume. After rejecting more expensive solutions and also those that contained multiple components (amp, speakers, etc.) I decided to purchase the Behringer B205D.I love this PA!! 5 stars all the way! If your needs are like mine you will love this unit. I won't list all the features as they are described on this page and the other reviews provide lots of this discussion as well. But I will say I have successfully performed in class using a mic and my guitar plugged in. The sound was clean and nice and loud! The unit is super easy to carry around and set up in case you want to do more than practice at home. Next week I will be using this at an open mic at a local pub.Also worth noting is the seller I dealt with was simply outstanding! First, as I researched this online it appears Behringer has a bit of a reputation for producing "knock-offs" of other products. In this case, it certainly appears this unit is very similar to the Mackie SRM150 (which is more than $100 more expensive). I have no idea if the overall quality of these two units is comparable but interesting to know this anyway.Second, my initial unit was defective. It could only handle the volume being turned up to about 35% before the amp starting "cutting out". I sent it back and got another one from the seller. The second unit was better but it had some annoying vibrations/buzzing when you would hit certain notes. In this case however, I was able to fix it myself by partially disassembling the unit, adding a paper gasket and tightening several loose screws. It was easy to do and now I'm confident if any vibrations recur I can fix them myself.This experience of "two-in-a-row" with problems makes it a little harder for me to recommend this without reservations, however, I am so happy with the unit now that I could not honestly give it less than 5 stars!Finally, as I am getting used to this unit I am already seeing some possible limitations. This is not the product's fault but something you may wish to consider as you decide if this unit is for you. I am thinking 2 inputs is not enough. As long as its just you and your guitar (or uke or banjo or whatever) this unit works great. But as soon as you want to do a duet you'll need something more because you only have the two inputs. I'd love to see this unit in a version offering four inputs with two of them set up to handle either guitar or mic. And I'd love to have EQ for each individual input rather than for the mixed signal.
