Review: Everyone should have these as their everyday carry - I bought two of these, one for my son and his family and one for me and my wife and daughter. The reason is, one of these saved a good friend of mine from freezing to death. He had shot and killed an elk in the mountains out west and was using it to clean the animal on, when he realized time had gotten away from him and it was getting too dark to get out of the woods without getting lost, so he wrapped himself up in the blanket and spent the night. He said he was a little cold but with the temp in the mid 30's he would have frozen to death if he had not had the blanket. Friends back at camp knew where he was hunting and came after him at first light. Thanks NASA

**Q: Is it safe to assume they tear easily, but also could be re-used?  Would covering yourself in 2 be better than one?**
A: No they do not tear easy and one would be surface.    They are strong enough to make A-tent out of.

**Q: If I hung this over a window like a curtain. Would it keep the heat of the sun out? Would the dark side stay cool?**
A: Yes. If you block the light then you block the heat. We used some on our boat windows for this purpose. Worked great.

**Q: what's the blanket thickness?  I'm asking for a measurement, not an opinion...**
A: Thinner than 20 pound printer paper, but I don’t know exact measurement

**Q: How much does one blanket weigh?**
A: About a 1lbs

Overall these are good for the money but they are really single or double use only! To throw into a car, go bag or backpack for emergencies, can't beat them. But your not gonna get like years of use out of them.
