This book will subdue those wildly exuberant starry eyed quickly. The realities of thought necessary to really look at the amount of detail required to get a storefront business off the ground may stop some people in their tracks. A good thing perhaps. Getting into shop keeping is not for the faint. I liked the overall look at needs and costs. The Landlord and lease to me are crucial elements to ongoing success and I agree a good lawyer is necessary to insure you do not lease into the lease from Hades. Many businesses are out of business in a few short years simply because the terms of the lease just would not let a shop keeper ever really get ahead of their expenses. A book like this is not complete but business never is definite. Good advise, and useful tools expressing what to look for, and, the reality of start up costs, is invaluable. She got into how and where to buy your inventory. She covered what kind of systems and policies you need to have in place. How to determine who to hire for your store.
