I see very mixed reviews for this, and I sort of rolled the dice…several reviews said it worked great and set just fine, and several others said it never set. Here is what happened HERE: I bought to caulk a gap in an under-mounted kitchen sink. The day before I used it, I made sure to wipe the entire area of the sink with rubbing alcohol so it would have ample time to dry. The next day I made a bead with the caulk. It handles well, goes on white. And on ~12 hours, had dried largely clear. By 15 hrs i was doing dishes and accidentally splashed water on about half the stretch i caulked (i caulked across the entire bridge between the 2 sinks, going about an inch past on either side)… By the time I noticed you got what you can see in the first photo, where the half of the caulk that was wet turned all white and puffy again. Scraped that out (all of it) and repeated. Used paper plates, and built a tape dam to shield the cock from accidental splashes. Made absolutely certain nothing got to it for over 48 hours. By then it had dried clear and been dry and clear for over a day (and well past the 24 hours listed on the tube). Did some dishes and accidentally splashed it (its hard not to get water on that bridge between the 2 sinks) and yup, in about 30 min or less i noticed the big white line was back. At this point I pretty much assumed I needed to move to a new product so I ordered something else. I took care to dry the caulk in the hopes that somehow was OK and waited for my new product. That took another 48 hours to arrive, during which the caulk dried to clear again, but through dumb luck I again got it wet and the same thing happened. Since I already had something else, I went to remove the puffy white caulk and it came out like nothing… There’s no way that it was doing its job. Disappointing garbage; I gave it one star out of generosity realizing other people had different experiences and I really can’t argue with that, but for us it proved totally ineffective

I had bought a metal box that I thought was waterproof to use as a planter as a gift. Every corner had a small hole! I hesitated to try this but it was SO SO EASY to use (I even made neat lines with my finger). It dries completely clear so nothing has to be perfect. Don't be scared, especially if you're a woman who has never done this before! EASY!

This chaulk can be very messy without using a guide tool because it's come out liquidity. I would recommend lining this with something, really any flat piece of plastic, so that the chaulk doesn't just go everywhere. It does take some time to dry as it's not quick drying (maybe use a hair dryer). Once it is dried, it does have a nice finish once you've done your clean up. This product, in general, requires a lot of patience and time. If you're not using this to go INSIDE cracks and grooves and using this to line corners/closed surfaces you may find this to be too messy. Overall it's a good product but again you need to have a guide tool and patience. I hope this helps :)
