Keeps Hair Moist
About 4 years ago, I started washing my hair with water only. I noticed that the natural oils gave my hair a lot more body and did not look greasy. I always let my hair air dry - and sometimes that was inconvenient if I had to be somewhere soon after my shower. I decided to look into a hair dryer and did my research, which led me to the Panasonic. I wanted a dryer that would not dry out my hair, so I focused on the ion and nanoe types. I use it only with the basic attachment on cool and low air volume and it works great. (I can't speak about the heat, since I don't use it). My hair dries fairly quickly and has even more volume. The only thing I would change about this unit is the size. It's a full size hair dryer and not good for travel. Other than that, it lives up to its hype.

Nano technology do help
First of all, highly recommended. Though it’s a bit pricey. It’s worthy. If you care for the health of your hair, you should consider this Japanese dryer. This dryer is much better than the two American brands I used before. I have not used Dyson though. This dryer is quieter and dries faster, which is to my surprise, because one dryer I used before had a higher watts, and it’s noisy and made my hair dry. And it didn’t cut much time. Nano tech do help to keep hair healthy. I’m very happy with it.

Wow! This hair dryer is amazing!
When I used this Panasonic hair dryer in our hotel in Japan, I couldn’t believe how fast it dried my hair! I didn’t even realize it had the oscillating feature at that time (you slightly pull out on the oscillating nozzle to activate this feature, and push it back in to stop it). When I got home, I started my search and was excited to find the dryer on Amazon. I love it even more using the oscillating feature when I start drying my hair, then without oscillation to finish styling. I have long, thick hair and I don’t dread drying my hair anymore with this dryer. It has cut my drying time at least in half, probably more. I don’t even want to try my old dryer again to time it out! My hair is smoother than drying with my other dryers, too. I haven’t needed to try the concentrator nozzle or diffuser yet, but I’m glad they were included. It has high and low speed settings, and hot, warm, cool temperatures, with a cool shot button. The cord is nice and long, and the weight and noise levels are fine for me (less than my last salon brand dryer). Everything I need and super fast drying. I’m so glad I found this dryer!

I think my last hairdryer contributed to my tinnitus
I wish I had found this dryer earlier. It is noticeably quieter than my Conair infinity pro. It also dries my thick 2c wavy hair faster, but not exceptionally so. I haven’t noticed less frizz but I battle frizz constantly and am currently overdue for a haircut.

Naturally soft wave in my fine, usually frizzy flyaway hair
I have taken a long time to assess this hair dryer before writing a review. I know it is expensive, much more than I am used to paying for a hair dryer, and I really wanted to determine if it was worth the money before I left a review, so others could have some feedback before they decided whether or not to make this purchase. Just so you know why I felt it might be worth the cost: I have fine, dry, color-treated hair, and it has been thinning for a while now despite my doing everything I can to protect it. I only wash it a couple times a week, using non-sulfate products, so it won’t dry,out too much, take biotin, etc. One thing I can’t really do is “just let it dry naturally”, which seems to be the answer so many people give me. My hair is just too flyaway and frizzy if I don’t blow dry it and style it into submission or put it back in a pony tail, which can also cause breakage. I have gone,to some really great hairstylists and they have given me good advice that helps. So I make sure that I use heat protectant products and splurged on this hair dryer to see if it might help. Overall, I really like the hairdryer. It is NOT lightweight, but I did not expect it to be. It came with all the accessories I wanted —diffuser, regular concentrated drying end (which I literally never use), the end that you can snap on and then click into place for the oscillating fan. I have to say, I LOVE the last feature and I use it practically every day. I feel that when I use this, my hair just looks better. I find the same styling I usually do results in a softer, slightly wavier look when using the oscillating feature, which seems more natural than contrived, and I like that. My hair has less frizz and flyaway than with my Babyliss dryer. The diffuser works just like every other diffuser I have used, except it is definitely better than anything Babyliss has.. Theirs do not attach well, fly off the end of the dryer one do not allow for enough heat flow between the prongs of the diffuser the way this one does. As far as the conditioning technology this dryer is supposed to have—I was really skeptical about that when I bought it, and I still am. Drawing moisture from the air to DRY your hair seems counter-Intuitive. Instead of conditioning the hair, it would likely just mean you would have to spend more time to dry it at all. So I would not put too much stock into that particular claim. I do think I would consider the infrared tech for my next hair dryer, though, as stylists I know swear by it. So, is this hair dryer worth the cost? For me, for the oscillating feature alone, yes, I feel it is. if any other dryer had that feature for less, I would definitely buy it, but since they don’t, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Stealthy and smooth
My old dryer died and I needed a new one. I wanted to treat myself but also wanted to be able to afford to eat occasionally, so the Dyson was out of the question. I ended up going with the Panasonic, which was still rather pricey, but still within my budget. At first I thought this dryer was too weak on the highest setting, but it turned out to be a deception. For context, it takes 30-40 minutes to dry my hair with the highest setting on my old dryer, (I have very long hair.) This one dried my hair within 15 minutes. That's a VERY significant difference in drying time, especially considering how long my hair was. The best part about it is my hair did not look frizzy or dried out by the end, and actually looks nice and silky smooth. The oscillator is also very convenient in allowing my arms to rest and avoid moving about; why move my hands around when the oscillator already does the same job? It's too early for me to give a Final thoughts, but so far I really like and enjoy this dryer. It's fast-drying, quiet, and makes my hair look and feel silky smooth.
