Do note that this comes with the sleeve, it's not the library binding version where the cover art is printed on the cover. I LOVE CASSIE CLARE

It arrived in the best condition possible and also it is as it’s shown in the picture, a collector’s first edition(hardcover)!! It has a cute illustrations between chapters for most of the main characters in the series

The book arrived in pristine condition and I was mind blown on seeing how gorgeous the cover actually looks. I really loved Chain of Gold and was anticipating Chain of Iron for a year and it's finally here. I am 150 pages in and I can feel that this one is going to be better than the first book! I would highly recommend The Last Hours trilogy to anyone who love fantasy , but do read The Infernal Devices before reading TLH. You're definitely in for an emotional treat!

WOW. I LITERALLY DIED. MY EMOTIONS ARE SCATTERED ONTO THE FLOOR. MY HEART IS IN PIECES. MY SOUL IS DESTROYED. CASSANDRA CLARE DID IT AGAIN! She wrote an epic fantasy book full of emotions and also demons. Chain of Iron is a well written sequel to Chain of Gold. So it really deserves 5 GOLDEN STARS. However I must admit I almost gave this book 4 stars. Because a part of the characters weren't acting like themselves? Actually I was probably frustrated at the way some of them were acting during certain situations. Also, the last few chapters weren't the greatest at all because every development regarding people and relationships went to ruin. But after thinking about why I felt so emotional, I have to admit the reason why it hurts me is for the fact that I care or even love these characters so much. The Merry Thieves as well as Cordelia, Lucie and Alastair have grown on me. I have never cared this much for any Shadowhunter Chronicles characters than these from The Last Hours. Especially my son, Alastair Carstairs, who deserves to be happy. He was the only person who had been completely honest yet he keeps punishing himself for mistakes from the past. I won't give away any spoilers ofcourse! But the story mainly revolves around some mysterious murders happening in London. Someone targets Shadowhunters specifically and it is not long before the Merry Thieves know this. While they try to discover who is doing this, they also have to go through their own emotional journeys. James and Cordelia are making the best of their marriage together as Matthew is losing himself in both alcohol and in Cordelia as well. Christopher is doing a lot of experiments in order to catch the murderer. And Thomas undergoes a personal journey and is really the bravest Shadowhunter in the whole story to be honest. Lucie, on the other hand, does everything in her power so she can raise Jesse from the dead. She works together with Grace for this to happen. I wish we had even more pov chapters from several characters such as Thomas, Alastair, Christopher etc. To be honest, I will always dislike Grace and it didn't make sense at all that all the days past chapters were about her. Why put Lucie on the cover and make Grace an actual protagonist? Anyway I do not know what Cassie wanted to reach with all these Grace povs but she didn't gain my sympathy... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chain of Iron to other readers. Fans of fantasy or not. Although you can avoid the majority of the pain this book causes by postponing reading Chain of Iron until Chain of Thorns comes out next year. Cassandra Clare's books are always about friendship, loyalty and love. Some of the most important things in life but also in the best stories. And you know what they say? All the stories are true.
