not as described
first of all, this isn't the same design as the photo.the frame is different where the suction cups attach, and you can't install it on a narrow window. The top suctions that hang above the frame can be attached in a narrow configuration, but the other 4 cups that attach to the frame cannot be narrowed past a certain point, and certainly not anywhere close to 17.7".I think the design in the pictures allows for the cups to be installed in a more narrow configuration, but the one i received cannot.if you're like me and you chose this because it installs onto a narrow window thats about 18-19", then you're out of luck, it won't fit.

BEWARE! Not as described or pictured!!
I bought the exact one while in London and it was great. Purchased again when I returned to Australia and even tho it is the same pictures (and looks like others received the good one) this one is nothing like what is shown in the picture. It is half the size and the gap from the top to bottom shelf is not even enough for my cat to lay in comfortably. Photo of my hand in the gap and I have small hands! Also the general size of the hammock areas are tiny. Good for a kitten DO NOT BUY!

Suction cups are not very good
It's not that easy to assemble, if your cat weighs more than 10 lbs the velcro doesn't hold well, the suction cups for the top are awful and don't hold. All in all not worth the money they charge.

Easy to assemble and sturdy
After reading many of reviews (good and bad) I decided to go ahead and purchase the window hammock. The instructions are very easy and comes with step by step guided pictures to help assemble it. I cleaned the window and used rubbing alcohol as it instructs and the suction cups mounted very easily. Pay attention to step 10 and heed it's warning about over tightening a plastic screw! I twisted it seven times, instead of six, because of the first twist being the "connection". My cats all took an interest in it, as soon as I was done mounting it to window. Cat in picture is very old and tiny. My other cats are huge and did cause one side to slide a bit....I believe I didn't have all the air out on left suction cup. Seems to be holding now. I will update as it gets used more. Update: it went through a lot of roughness from 10 cats. It survived 5 excellent years. Worth every penny!

Brief assembly instructions
I wasn't familiar with using coupling nuts. The instructions weren't very clear on how to use them. So for step 3, I screwed the 1st nut on to the bar followed by the coupling nut (long). I screwed it (long nut) until I could see the end of the bar was showing. Then I placed the other short nut on the other bar, and lined up the two bar ends. Then begin to unscrewed the long nut, which causes the other bar to be screwed into it. Use the included tool to tighten and untighten the long nut. Continue till the ends show an equal distance between the short nut and the bar. See illustration 3. The yellow line indicates the measuring area. When installing the the cloth pads, know that the bars must be in the lanyards. Picture marked "4" identifies which way the padding goes. . After steps 3 & 4, installation was a breeze. Ha!
