I want to put them in my son's aquarium will they float?

I believe they would float. They are a very thin plastic and hollow. I think that might look good in your son's fish tank

How long do they glow? I bought another set and it only glows for 2 minutes.

I can't give you an answer because my grandsons are 2 and 4 years. As soon as they came out of the package they were playing with them and carrying them around. They adore anything related to the planets.

I held them in my hand (inside the clear box) in a dar room and they did not glow. What does one have to do to make them glow?

You would have to hold the, up to a light source first like outside sun or a lamp. I don’t believe these are very strong though.
