Yes, this fan DOES NOT automatically come with fan blades, you order them separately. That said, you get to chose the length & color best suited for your space. Being cheap, I didn't want to pay the premium for this fan. (The wife talked me into it.) However, 18 months in, I've again come to see 'you get what you pay for'. We use this fan every night, 7 months a year. This fan is beautiful, it silently moves air (which is important for me) and -I expect- it will last a good many years. Our last 'expensive' fan is still spinning 15yrs on.
