I have vertigo and can no longer sleep in a bed. Lowering myself into a supine position and then getting up again makes the room spin. Hence, I now sleep in a recliner. With COVID, I'm spending many hours a day in the recliner, and I needed to find some relief from "recliner sores" and a tender tailbone. The Lexia donut pillow has been great, providing both comfort and relief from soreness. The memory foam has the right amount of firmness and give to it. I've already had to wash the velour cover which was easy to do. I just undid the zipper that runs around the circumference and removed the cover. I handwashed it in warm (NOT HOT) water with a few drops of Dawn, rinsed it, gently squeezed water from it, and air-dried it on a clothes hanger. There was no shrinkage, and I had no problem in putting it back on the pillow without straining the zipper or seams. This is my first experience with a donut pillow so I cannot compare the Lexia to other pillows, but the Lexia answers all my needs and I'm pleased to endorse it.

This pillow is extremely firm when it is cold! I saw a bunch of reviews condemning the firmness, but if you set it near the heater (or sit on it) for a bit first it softens right up and becomes perfect. I use this for discomfort from sitting all day for work (not for tailbone issues as it is marketed), and it helps immensely. It has cut back significantly on spinal problems and legs falling asleep! It's also quite comfy to sit on with crossed legs - it offers just the right amount of height. It smelled like tire rubber for a short time after unboxing it, but that dissipated quickly. The zipper pull also snags like crazy on the seat fabric of my chair, so be aware of that possibility. It's not a big deal to me because the chair was cheap, but it could do with a little fabric loop to tuck the pull underneath.

The official ones available are weird.. They're generally circular, so helmets rock on them, or they're rubber in construction so they leave smudge marks.. This thing is perfect. It is oval in size with a cut out alone the center of the edges, meaning anything will be held. Circular, oral or otherwise, plus because of the side cushions, you can rest it flat, which is something the official donuts never do well. It is held perfectly in every position, flipped to any angle. I don't work on my moto-helmet continuously or anything, but it does give it a firm surface to sit on so it is less likely to be knocked over, and when it comes time to clean it, it helps a surprising amount. These are weird objects. They're both tough yet we must treat them delicately so they're in their best shape to save our lives should the worst happen. This works perfectly to aid in that.

I needed to order 3 of this item, but decided to 1st order 1 to see what it was like. I'm glad I did because what I received is not what is in the photograph. I received an all black pillow. I like what I saw in the photo.. If you don't have the product you advertise, that is called deception. However, what I received is thick but a little too firm & after a while can become uncomfortable.
