I purchased a Benro G3 ball head to go on my mach3 tripod but it was just far to heavy to use for long hikes. This tripod ball head came through a recomendation. It is a very nice quality bit of manufacturing and is of the same if not better build quality as my Benro head at a fraction of the weight (and cost).My only very small criticism would be that the pan locking screw should be swapped with the clamp screw ( see photo attached). And this is purely because the most important screw on a head is the clamp screw as this is what attaches your camera to the head. But for some reason they have used the better of the 2 screws for the pan action as opposed to the clamp. When working out in a cold landscape with bitterly cold wind chill you need all the help you can get when tightening up your clamp to the camera bracket.This would not put me off buying another one of these heads.
