I am not alone!
Read this book in 3 hours. Highly recommend it! I cried through most of it because it was like she was writing about the life I'm living.

I am a TBI person too... I recommend this book for those with a TBI as well as those wanting to just learn more about all this!
I am a TBI person / survivor too. Like the author. I like how she has done this book. Its short and sweet. Its done in readable in a night or two chapters. Each chapter mostly or somewhat stands on its own. The book is based on her submitting articles over a period of time to Huffington Post (I think that's the one she said-I cant remember now). After she submitted a bunch of them over a period of time, she put them all in a book. When you have a TBI, reading and comprehending (and remembering some of it) is an issue for me and many people. So the way this book is assembled, it just works. And for me (and many of us), I think the examples she explains personally will hit home for many of us. It did for me! You are not alone! She, I and countless others are all dealing with this TBI stuff now and none of us asked for it either. So lets all support each other and know WE WILL be ok in the end. Our new normal will be ok for those of us that cant find our way back to the old normal. Me included! All said, it's worth your read.

TBI info-lite could use a little more editing and a little more substance and a little less personal info.
If you've had a TBI, you'll relate to these stories. And you'll want stories of other people who are going through the same thing, because the truth is: no one believes you're still struggling a year later. You look normal, you mostly speak normally, and no one knows that inside you're conscious that you're having trouble finding the right word, or you walk like you've had too much to drink, and your head still hurts ALL the time, and your ears still ring loudly enough to keep you awake at night. But what I don't like so much about the book: 1) it's waaayyy too short for the price. I think I read this in a few hours. And it's not edited. This is just the journey of one person who suffered a TBI, and her personal journey (emphasis on personal, since you are unlikely to relate to more than about half of this). It's not particularly well written. It's just lifted from a blog that she wrote to try to make sense of her situation. I'm sympathetic to that, but it should be edited and updated to make it worthwhile in a book form. I don't need to spent that much money on this. There are also a few substantive errors in it.

Great read and informative. Every reader will gain valuable insight regarding brain injuries.
Highly suggest reading this book for anyone with a TBI, ABI or concussion related brain injuries. It's written in a fashion suited for those with brain injuries. The print is large and the pages are short to prevent vertigo for those who have the issue, and most of us have vertigo. It's the first book I could read since 2012 without feeling dizzy or nauseated. Amy's message is great for us all and includes wonderful information for caregivers. Happy to note my friends are extremely supportive and have never turned their backs on me. Some of us don't have that comfort. This book doesn't make you feel alone, but part of something moving in a positive direction. It is very supportive and informative. You'll want to take notes and highlight areas for future reference. Thank you Amy Zellmer!

A Great Encouragement
Anyone who has suffered from or who lives with a TBI will find great encouragement in this book. The book consists of various writings of Amy Zellmer, a TBI survivor. She puts into words the everyday struggles that so many of us with brain injuries haven't been able to. What an encouragement to know there are others out there who know what you're going through. It was a release for me personally to know I'm not alone with the struggles I face daily, that I'm not alone in having to learn to cope with my new normal. This book is great for people with TBI's and for anyone who wants to better understand this "invisible" injury.

Amy understands our feelings while dealing with a TBI and she shares thoughts and ideas in this wonderful book!
Amy writes from her heart and shares what she has gone through with her TBI. Anyone that has a TBI or is a caregiver should read this book. I felt like Amy "got it" and her writing made me feel like I had someone by my side who knew exactly what I was going through. That mean's so much when you are dealing with a TBI. Thank you Amy for helping to lead me out of the darkness and for all of your support.

Great read! ANYONE can get a TBI...be informed!
Purchased for my son after his TBI Aug 2016, 7 months later, he's still in therapy. Thank you Amy Zellmer, for writing this book and the work that you do to help bring awareness to what it's like to live with a TBI. You help the TBI survivors know that what they're experiencing is normal AND help the TBI families learn more as well.
