Alberto Vo5 Hot Oil Intense Conditioning Treatment, 0.5 Ounce, 2-count Tubes (Pack of 3)

I have used Alberto VO5 hot oil treatment for years, and used to buy it at Walmart, but they stopped selling it several years ago and I was so glad then to find Amazon sold it. It is a great product and really helps the hair look better. The older and grayer I have become, my hair has become dryer, and I use it more often. It really helps with stray gray hairs and makes the hair look smoother.

I have long straight hair, and like many of you stuck at home during COVID-19, have not been able to get to a salon to have my ends trimmed. I remember this product being all the rage in the 70's and 80's for increasing hair softness and decreasing breakage and frizz, so I decided to give it a try.I heated it up in a cup of hot water, tore the end off, and proceeded to try to distribute it throughout my damp hair while in the shower. I discovered it doesn't distribute very easily so I ended up putting a few drops in and trying to pull it towards my ends, repeating until the bottle was empty. I guess this was the most effective way, but it really didn't feel like I was distributing it through my hair to maximize the effects of the product.I kept it in my hair for about a minute then rinsed out and shampooed & conditioned as normally. As my hair air dried, I definitely noticed an increase in softness, but almost no reduction in frizz and flyaways. I did notice that my ends don't seem to be as dry and poofy as they were, and I hope this effect lasts.

I've used this for a long time, always with great success. I don't actually follow the instructions and this works for me. I shampoo my hair, apply the hot oil treatment and then put my shower cap on while I finish up with my shower. Last thing I do is rinse. My hair is ALWAYS silky soft and shiny and 1 treatment usual lasts me about 3 weeks. I have very fine hair and styling gels/sprays just make my hair limp and dull so I avoid all that stuff and just use the hot oil treatment.

Don’t be fooled by the little size. This oil packs a punch.! Works great. My hair was really manageable, smooth, shiny, I could run my fingers through without getting caught on ends. Be careful not to heat too much (as directions say..whoops) lol. I used boiled water and slightly burned the inside of my hand. But I also have to say. Using the oil a second time, at a lower temp. Although still great results, it wasn’t as effective. So wear gloves so you don’t burn hand, hotter works a bit better.

Sirvió, pero no he vuelto a comprar el producto. Supongo que daria mejor resultado si se continúa con su uso.
