Germination rate was nearly 100% once I sowed them into a fixed garden bed. They take foreve to sprout and then true leaves take the longest time but then suddenly stalks shoot up with purple petal’s poppy pods

I've been growing the Turkish red poppies for decades and dabbled with others. The most beautiful may still be my Turks(classic wizard of Oz), but this poppy is a keeper because of the length of time before petal drop is over twice as long and the massive flowers. Unique characteristics Peshawar has white seeds that are pretty large for a poppy. Sprouted and bloomed a few weeks earlier than my Turks. Lighter green and less silvery leaves, less blooms per plant but makes up in flower and pod size. Red fine veins on leaf, random occasional red dots (thought it was a disease at first or bug damage) orangey sheen to new growth. Flower keeps an upright tulip shape instead of the flat/slightly cupped look I'm used to

I've been growing a variety of different plants for over 10 years now, lettuce, morning glory, cannibus, san pedro, etc. For the most part, when it comes to seeding, germinating, cloning, layering, grafting, etc., I pretty much know what I'm doing. I mean, its quite simple. Just read the instructions on the package and do exactly as its written. So far, every seed I've ordered through Amazon has been successful, with an exception of a few; atleast 60% turn out. These seeds are the first ones to not take. First package ever purchased, whether from Amazon, ace hardware, or wherever. 250 seeds, not a single 1 grew. I feel majorly ripped off. The first 100 i planted, I thought maybe I did it wrong, so I checked out some comments and researched advice. The next hundo-fiddy I had, I tried different techniques that I've learned through the internet, and still, not a single sprout. Not even thru germination did I get a single survivor. This brand is a scam. Small amount scam, but still a scam indeed. Dont waste your money and time.

Planted some seeds in starter pots and about 1/3 germinated in a week. Biggest problem seeds are very small so when planting get dozens instead of 3 or 4 seeds per starter pot. I have red poppies in my flower garden from houses previous owner and am hoping these are the vibrant blue as pictured to add more color to my flower garden. I love flowers and have many plants that bloom early like tulips and daffodils later spring and early summer like poppies and lillies and fall like chrysanthemums and others.

A little expensive per seed but .. Put in the fridge for a few days then use the zip lock greenhouse tek for 2-3 days . Starting them in a mix of vermiculite/ worm castings around a 70/30 ratio. First packet has a 100% germination Mist once a day and use growing light then transplant to permanent container or location once they are around 2 inches high . BIRDS WILL EAT THEM ! Lost an entire grow in one morning by setting the sproutlings outside for real sunlight!

Grew these last year, the poppies bloomed but the petals all fell off quickly. They didn't get very big and then they dried out. :( Going to try again this year.
