Are dog and cat salmon treats the same? I’m wanting smaller treat for my dog? Also do these need to be stored in refrigerator after opening?

I'm not sure if these are for cats as well as dogs. Since they're freeze-dried salmon; I wouldn't think there would be a difference. These don't need to be stored in the refrigerator after opening. The bag has a snap closing. My dog likes small bites; so I tend to cut the treats into smaller pieces. They do crumble a bit and I actually sprinkle the dust/crumbs on his food as well.

Anyone know why the cost of the 8 oz freeze dried salmon bag went up $10 in the past week or so? Was $26. Now $36. Ouch.

Been buying for a long time. This bag has chunks with black running through them. Is this safe & does anyone know what the dark part is?

I also have been buying this for my cat for years. I have received it in a silver bag before as well. I think they packaged it this way for a short time but for some reason went back to the original. Make sure you check the expiration date. I haven't seen it in that silver bag in a long time. It could be old & expired. If not, I can assure you, it was packaged in this silver bag for a time.
