I concluded that it must build up in the body, so I figured it might be the same for the cat. My cat took it (treat or a tiny amount of L-Theanine from a open capsule) for about two weeks and he got over being pissed off. He just needed to calm down and relax. I think the key is to give it to the cat everyday for at least 3 or 4 days, then they calm down and chill out, you can then reduce the dose each day and they are still calm. It states that it's not a sedative so I don't see any danger.I think it would be okay for kittens but you have to make your own decision.
