First off let me start by saying the original servos that come on The e-revo are not as bad as people claim.. Are they cheep? Yes. They have plastic shells and plastic gears. So naturally they will fail way sooner than a model like this upgraded version will. But I got about a months worth of hardcore driving out of my OEM ones before only one tanked. And the electronics didn’t fail. Only the Main drive gear stripped.. I like to think I’m a good aggressive driver with the E-revo2.0 jumping over 50’ jumps railing corners and such at the track. So I was pretty impressed with how long the OEM ones lasted.. and you can rebuild if got want to.. Now to talk about these 2255 servos. Am I impressed? Most definitely! First I got them in 2 days ( but I am a prime member ) the quality of the product visually is great, very nice powder coated metal shell, and good looking metal gears inside. The performance is off the wall compared to stock. Stock servos run at 125 Ounce-Inch of torque. These 2255 push a very nice 400 Ounce-Inch of torque. That’s very high compared to the stock version. And they come with a brushless motor. They handle externally well while driving. Very fluent and easy to control over the stock servos. They have plenty of torque, no whine or struggle when sitting still or turning against thick or sticky dirt. These servos made my 2.0 steer and handle way better. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE. I’m not much for off brand parts. So a lot of people will say “ ohh they aren’t worth it for the money just go buy Savox servos “ in my opinion Savox servos aren’t worth the money. Just my opinion. I’m all about buying name brand servos. Or in this case Traxxas servos. They perform better in my opinion and in my experience.
