Perfect for fostering kittens. I bought this because we foster a lot of kittens every year. This one is the largest size and works great for multiple kittens. Has enough space for a litter box, food bowls, a couple beds and still space for the kittens to tumble around. I love that the bottom and top zip on and off. Makes for easy cleaning!

Great deal for the money, easy set-up, durable, and huge in size! We have a pit-bull and she weighs about 85 pounds. This thing has plenty of space for her to roam around and sleep as well (which is her favorite thing next to playing and eating). I wish I would have found this sooner instead of paying 180.00 for a designer crate that looks like designer furniture, (which our yorkee and shitzhu use as their home), and is a joke compared to this thing! The octagon shape is the difference from all other crates. That gives the dog(s) a lot room to roam around and play. I wouldn't recommend this for small puppies or cats that will claw or still in the chewing/teething stages. Abbigail loves it, She feels like she has a place of her own now. All I have to say when we leave the house is "get in your house Abby", and she goes right in. Of coarse my wife put all her chew toys, a few blankets and her food and water bowl, and she still has room to roam around. Outstanding find. If you are wondering if its worth the money, well, it is! See the attached pics as Abby takes you on the grand tour of her new house!!! As you can see, she's a big sweetie (these dogs get such bad press because of BAD owners!) She is the sweetest dog and great around small kids and people in general. Anyway, I'm rambling... As I was saying, this thing is awesome, and has plenty of room for big awesome dogs Like Abby... Looks easy to fold-up and put away, but when not in use, we will just put it upstairs in our guest bedroom room.

We are currently using this as a safe spot for our new kitten to settle into her new home; last month we used it for our first cat to convalesce after his neuter. It has plenty of space for a litter pan, bed, food and water, a small scratching post, and some toys. The pen has a zippered, removable floor (which we have covered with a washable potty pad), and a zippered, removable top. We are 3 days in with new kitten and so far the mesh has held up to her little kitten claws-- although I trimmed them when she arrived and I can't say the mesh would hold up to a determined cat or kitten with untrimmed claws. It has two zippered doors, but they don't open completely-- be aware you have a choice of either crawling through the door or taking off the top and stepping over the walls of the pen (my legs are barely long enough to do this) if you need to enter it for cleaning, etc. The zipper for the top is not very sturdy so this could be a weak point if your pet tries to get out, and I imagine the zipper will only get worse over time. This has some advantages and disadvantages over the traditional metal x-pens-- on the plus side: this is lighter and easier to move around, it's easier to zip the top on than fiddling with 16 fasteners on a metal pen with a mesh top, and this won't damage hardwood floors like the metal pen sitting directly on the floor will. This is great for traveling and camping and gives your pet a lot more room than a crate. On the minus side: this isn't going to hold up to a puppy that chews or any animal that claws repeatedly at the mesh. It's harder to see into it through the mesh, and you can't leave it set up outdoors indefinitely without the sun and weather ruining it in a season. Overall we are happy with the purchase.

Ordered this playpen to house a 6wo kitten that I rescued from a storm drain. I didn't want to expose her to my other cat until she was fully cleared by my vet and needed an area to keep her safe and secure. I've been impressed with this pen. It's plenty big, durable, and easy to setup/tear down (it just unfolds; great for traveling). I had a large crate, food dishes, and a full sized litter box in there with her and she still had room to run and play... with me sitting in it, too! She did not get caught in the mesh nor was I in fear that the thing would collapse on her when she was bouncing off the sides in great kitten fashion. :) I've since cleaned & disinfected the pen with a scrub brush and towels (the bottom is removable - more on that below) and am now using it inside the house to expose kitten to my resident cat. It allows them to see and sniff each other but yet feel secure. All in all, I'm really glad I went with this option over a more expensive wire cat cage. It's been a huge help! Two points of feedback: 1. The description says the material is stain resistant. I'm not sure I agree with that. Mine seems to stain easily. 2. My pen came with a Velcro bottom instead of a zipped bottom. The Velcro fasteners are about an inch long and spaced pretty far apart. A kitten or puppy could easily get the bottom loose and get out if they are clawing or digging at the floor (or small enough to squeeze through the area between the Velcro fasteners. I see that some of the smaller pens come with a bottom that zips on like the top - I would recommend a zipped bottom, if possible.

I bought the 61 inch model, in pink. The pink color is a very light pink, nothing too hard to look at. I have a nervous Papillon dog (toy breed) that will, every now and then, poop and throw up on the carpet overnight. I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say it happened often enough that I decided I needed to get her a kind of habitat to sleep in overnight to prevent her from wandering around the house at night and doing her thing. But I didn't want to get her another crate. I wanted something larger, so she would feel less like she was in jail. This is large enough that I can put her crate in there, a throw pillow, a small bed for her, and a water bowl. And she still has room to the side which she can use to have an accident on if she really needs to. Again, she's a toy breed. She weighs 10 pounds. This will comfortably fit toy, small, and medium sized dogs up to probably 50 pounds. If you have a horse sized dog, he/she is going to have to crouch down inside of it. I didn't bother to attach the top and bottom that came with this. Instead, I placed a waterproof puppy pad underneath. And I know she won't be able to jump out of it, because she's too small. So I don't worry about the top. Why I bought this instead of a big crate: It's because I wanted the option to fold it up and get it out of the way during the day. I envisioned being able to just pop it out at night and fold it up in the morning. What I actually found was that it's not super easy to fold this up so that it's flat. I must not be doing it right. I've come close to flat, but it's tricky. It's definitely not a 5 second thing like I imagined. It's more like a good minute or so to fold it up. But it does fold up, and I just tuck it behind a couch during the day. As for the quality of it, I think it's going to hold up to constant use. It seems fairly well built. The stitching looks good. No issues there. And here's a tip. I measured the inside diameter of the playpen (wall to wall), and it came to about 54-55 inches. So I was a little worried about this pad being one or two inches more in diameter. But then I realized that it would probably shrink after putting it in the washer and dryer (on "delicate" setting). And sure enough, it did shrink just enough that it was a perfect match for this playpen! So I highly recommend getting that pad with it. In conclusion, it's a welcome addition to my house. I like that my little furry girl feels comfortable at night. And I won't ever have to worry about her causing me hours upon hours of time trying to clean the house after one of her nighttime poop-sprees. Haha.

Bought this in preparation for Hurricane Irma here in Florida. Wanted a way to house our two cats in the event we needed to take them to a shelter - I have cat carriers for them, but would not have been able to set them up with food and a litter box. Figured this might even fit in the back of our Ford Escape if we needed to evacuate by car; maybe even use in a hotel room. For the money, this pen is really excellent, bigger than I pictured (nice height), and very easy to set up, break down and store. It pops into shape, so there are no poles to insert, etc. Zippers seem sturdy. There's a small riveted hole on one side which may be for a water bottle, but is perfect for popping treats into the unit. I set it up in the house and the cats went right in to check it out - one even slept in it. I wanted to get them used to it in case we had to leave - as it turns out, we were fortunate, and weathered Irma at home. FYI - the width that you need in the back of your car is actually 41 inches. 45 inches is the widest point. Our car's wheel wells make for a 39.5 inch width, but we figured we could make it work in an emergency. Having my cats' rabies paperwork, collars with county tags, carriers, and this great pen gave me tremendous peace of mind during the hurricane. I think this pen would be fantastic for people who foster kittens. Another plus - I could crawl inside myself!

This dog playpen is really easy to set up, well made, portable and a perfect fit for my 10lb chihuahua whippet mix. She loves it.

My 29lb cocker spaniel had to have spine surgery a few weeks ago and has to be crated for the next few months. Instead of a crate, the vet said we can get a playpen, and this is SUCH a good product for that! It has plenty of room but not TOO much at the same time. My husband and I can both fit in the pen with our little guy and comfort him, or he can hang out by himself, and actually get adjusted unlike in his crate. I like that it zips open on top so it is so much easier to maneuver my dog in and out of the pen than in a typical crate, and its easier to clean as well instead of trying to climb inside his crate. We were debating between this or a metal frame and this product won out because of the floor that comes with it. Metal would have been hard to cover without the blankets or pee pads slipping. And it's so easy to wipe down when my dog's paws get all muddy on the bottom. It is a little slippery on the hardwood in our house so beware if you're going to be stepping in and out. It was the best investment we could have made for his post surgery rest. I definitely recommend!!!!

I bought this soft pen for my 5 pound maltese who was able to claw his way out of the mesh door - I believe that this would be a great pen for a puppy during house training.
