So I wish this was cheaper but I really like this for outdoor laptop use. Before I purchased this I tired numerous "homemade" alternatives with boxes, towels, umbrellas and a bunch of other stuff. None of these worked super well, it was still hard to see my screen even with the laptop on the highest brightness setting. This has been a gamechanger - I can work outside and see my screen while this also protects my laptop from heat and other potential issues. I can use the included strap to secure it to the table which prevents the possibility of the laptop falling off the table from wind or whatever else could occur. At the end of the day, getting to spend some of the day out in the sun is well worth the cost for this quality unit. It also folds compactly and takes up a low amount of space for times when I want to store it or take it with me.

I am an astrophotographer with a focus on daytime solar imaging. It's imparative to have good shading to see a computer screen in an outdoor setting. Having tried a variety of shade methods previously, this shade tent is by far the best option. This shade tent is large and sturdy. The zipper is strong and works well. The Velcro straps and openings are well placed and very helpful. The tent is easy to fold and put away in the supplied carry case. I couldn't be happier and more satisfied that I chose this shade tent to purchase. Clear skies!

Yall. 10/10. It is a whole ass tent. Sturdy - strong. Not sure abt water proof but def sun proof. Couldn’t figure out how to use the little diver thing for sunlight that loops around the laptop but didn’t die for not using it. Set up takes like 30 seconds (super easy) and closing it back takes even less time. Didn’t use the shoulder strap as I never needed it but an amazing thing to think of. I do wish it came in cuter colours as I was on a cruise and the grey was killing my vibe but regardless so happy abt this . Great for use outside, at the beach, in parks. And love that you have the option to hold it in the little circle bag or just the tent itself. It’s huge btw. Laptop shown is a 14” MacBook. Great price already feel like I got my moneys worth in 10 days of having it! Must have the my WFH friends!

I bought this Laptop Tent so I could finally work outside without squinting at my screen like a confused grandma, and honestly… it delivers. The tent pops open easily, blocks the sun glare, and gives you just enough privacy that people at the pool stop looking over your shoulder like you’re checking their test scores. It’s lightweight, folds into a tiny pouch, and even doubles as a little portable office bag — which feels weirdly professional for something I’m using in a swimsuit. The glare shield really does help, and the whole setup makes it way easier to get real work done outdoors. My only complaint (and the sole reason it’s not a 5-star review) is that my laptop still got pretty hot after a while in the sun. Not as fast as it would without the tent, but enough that I had to shut it down and give it a little “cooling nap.” But honestly? Even with that, I’m so glad I bought this. It works, it’s clever, it’s convenient, and it lets me answer emails while living my best poolside life. If you’re someone who likes to work outside, this is a GREAT invention and absolutely worth having.

I love this - what a great idea for people who work remote and want to be outdoors and work. It is lightweight, very sturdy, and blocks glare and sunlight. Keeps my laptop from getting overheated. I also like that it packs up into a small little case that I can throw into my work bag.

so far works great! I love the extra cover that goes over your keyboard, my MacBook Pro is light colored aluminum that reflects back on the screen when you tilt it down a bit to get rid of seeing your own face or shirt reflected. Love the light color too, some of these are black which is pretty counter intuitive for something to use in the sun. I'll update this review if I find any flaws, but so far it's perfect. Really dark, can see my screen clearly.

I submitted for a return for this product. I could not see my computer screen while using it outside. I also found the front entry a bit tight while using a mouse with the laptop. I was also concerned with how hot the bottom was getting while my laptop was in there. It didn't seem to have the proper ventilation my device required. 1 star because it could not perform the one job it has. Careful contorting that thing back into the bag.

I bought this so I could work out by the lake and the pool during the summer. It definitely keeps the sun off the screen and makes it visible even in the harshest sunlight. I like being able to close up the laptop, fold the LapDome, and carry it away. The cord slot on the back is very convenient. Everybody who sees it thinks it's a great idea and I bet a few people have already bought one based on seeing mine. Unfortunately, while it's very good at keeping the sun off of the laptop, it's also very good at preventing me from seeing the entire laptop in common situations. I'm currently using a 15" laptop with this which fits in the LapDome perfectly. The curvature of the opening cuts off the top left and right corners at best, and at worst it includes the top 1/4 of the screen as well. I've tried a bunch of different ways to mitigate this. Setting it on a table is the best option which only cuts off the corners. In my lap on a folding chair the front edges of the LapDome droop down a bit which pulls the opening down to cover the top of the screen. It gets a bit better when sitting in a poolside lounger with the lower viewing angle. Even so, I am constantly having to hunch down to see the corners of the screen. I think if there was an optional rigid base that prevented the bottom of the LapDome from drooping, that would be a huge benefit. As it is, it's really difficult to use it for its intended purpose due to the hunching, bobbing, and weaving that's necessary to see everything. Setting the laptop up high (near shoulder or eye level) would mitigate the screen cut off, but makes it really difficult to type for long periods of time. If you need to keep the sun off your laptop while you are doing something else and only using the laptop occasionally, the LapDome is probably going to be just fine for you. If you need to have your hands on the keyboard constantly and want to use all of your screen real estate it's going to get really frustrating. Is that frustration an acceptable price to pay for being able to work outside without glare? I'm thinking about it.

did not meet the expectations as shown in the original picture. Packing it back is a problem. Did not check how rains will effect it.

Dies ist nichts weiter als ein viel zu schweres Katzenzelt, was man hier bei Amazon für rund 5 € erhält. Vollkommen unpraktisch im Auf- und Abbau durch die vielen Klettverschlüsse. Das Arbeiten am Laptop ist nur eingeschränkt möglich, da die Öffnung zu klein ist. Der innen eingenähte Blendschutz ist ein dreister Witz ohne jede Funktion. Mich wundert nicht, daß Amazon Konkurs gehen soll bei soviel überteuerten Chinarumsch.

Great for a day at the beach, or working on the balcony at an Airbnb! I bring this with me when I'm traveling and it works great. It isn't the most compact, but it does fold up into itself and works quite well for carry. It does what it's expected to and blocks the sun. I do recommend it.
