You do need to use some sort of heat to straighten any hair with natural curl or wave to it. **Q: Can it work by air drying?** A: Not the straightening feature, but for frizz, I always leave to air dry. It’s my favorite product because it doesn’t make your hair crunchy like mousse does. **Q: Several websites show this product as discontinued. Can you verify whether or not it's still produced? It's not for sale on their Amazon store.** A: not sold in stores anymore. I think it's been discontinued. Amazon still has it. Humidity here is MURDER. I've tried dozens of anti-frizz/humidity control products from expensive brand names to small businesses and I always come back to Bed Head, I've been using it since I was a pre-teen 2 decades ago. It works not only for straightening my hair, but also just anti-frizz if I leave my hair curly so I don't gain a full frizz halo stepping outside. Once I wash my hair, I do a towel dry to remove excess moisture and put a quarter size amount through my wet/damp hair (shoulder blade length) and let it air dry. If I want to further straighten my hair once it's dry I add a dime size amount of Paul Mitchell skinny serum and spritz with Paul Mitchell heat/UV protect spray before straightening, followed by a single pump of the skinny serum run through after straightening.
