Built for the boring job you absolutely need done right
I used this Western Digital Purple 512 GB microSDXC card in my Frontpoint security cameras, and so far it has done exactly what I bought it to do: record quietly in the background without drama. It was recognized by the camera system right away, and I did not have to deal with formatting or setup issues. For security cameras, I am not looking for anything exciting. I want storage that can handle continuous recording, reliably save clips, and not make me wonder whether the footage will be there when I need it. This card feels like the right tool for that job. The 512 GB capacity also gives me more breathing room before older footage starts rolling off. There is not much to “show off” with a microSD card, which is kind of the point. It works, it stores the footage, and it stays out of the way. For my Frontpoint cameras, that is a five-star result.

Didn't work out for me
Used it in my cobra dash cam and worked until it was full and needed formatting. But it wouldn't format, tried multiple computers but wouldn't format or delete the data ended up returning.

Nope Nope and Nope.
Stay away from NO product support. They keep reorganizing their company instead of spending time supporting customer. Bought 2 here on amazon. They said they don't support amazon purchases talk to seller, seller says talk to WD. After I gave up with WD, (8-20 weeks of slow email exchange), WD said OK sorry, we will. 4 months later said still out of stock, and now say they are sending me something else. I would not say it will get to me, who knows.
