I have used these method books to take my trumpet skills from nothing to being a solid beginner in about a year's time. One must practice, but these books will work on your fingering skills, your range (high to low), and your tounge being responsive and quick.

This is the book my son's trumpet teacher recommends, and I have to say that we've found it to be a solid program, better than the Essential Elements my daughter used for flute. In addition, by the time you get to this third book, you're further ahead than with Essential Elements.

This book is third in a series. After playing through the first two, it was time to move on to book three. I wasn't able to find the book in my local music store, but Amazon came through for me.

This book is required for my son's instrumental lessons. It seems to be a good lesson book.
