Review: A lovely music box building project - Bought for my partner's Christmas. She enjoys jigsaws and loves music boxes so this seemed a perfect fit. Pros The many individual pieces are clearly identified and push cleanly out of the plywood sheets. Spare pieces are provided for some of the tinier pieces which might break on removal. Plays an accurate version of the carousel waltz. (A poor approximation would have been a show-stopper for my very musical partner) The finished music box rotates and there is a realistic mechanism providing simultaneous up and down movement of the horses The finished item makes an attractive ornament Cons Requires time and patience to assemble A fair amount of sanding is involved - sometimes of very tiny pieces The little crown topper is made of cardboard which might degrade over time and need replacing. This is a tiny niggle but it would have been nice to have a more permanent solution. Overall, this is a lovely item which makes a great project for someone patient and systematic. The cons would only be cons for some. My partner loved this present and still regularly sets it going after a number of months.

Bought for my partner's Christmas. She enjoys jigsaws and loves music boxes so this seemed a perfect fit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful but it struggles…

Was a very interesting build. I loved the fact, unlike the Starry night build, this build didn’t have those black pop in pieces. Is a fun but challenging build. However , as other reviews have said, the gears at the top that control the movement of the horses seem to make it very stiff and makes it basically stuck and unable to move. Still a beautiful build.
