Will these work with the picasso tiles?

They are magnetic, so there is some interaction between the different toys, but the magnets are pretty weak. I could not even build half the stuff they show as it would fall apart under its own weight. They are still fun and lots of stuff to build.

Can this be used in 1st grade for an independent stem activity?

Yes absolutely. They are easy to put together and pull apart for little hands. My grandchildren are 4 and 6 and they love them.

How many magnets are in one cube?

8 I believe. There are magnets in each corner of the cube.

Should all the cubes be different? We can’t make a complete animal because we have multiples of the same pieces.
