The specs state the max thickness this stand will mount to but what is the minimum table thickness needed for the c-clamps to work on?

I have my Huanuo Dual Monitor Stand mounted on a desk that is 5/8" thick and it is very sturdy. There is a 34" ultra wide and a 22" flat mounted on each arm with no issues.

I have a 3/4" lip on the edge of my desk, how much space does the C-bracket need for mounting?
