Pebeo Setasilk Water Based Gutta is a 20ml tube of water-based, pearlescent silk painting outline paint. Product Description The Setasilk Water Based Guttas have a thick consistency and are used to create outlines - the Serti technique. The colors are pearlescent. The Guttas are used directly from the tube and nozzle or from a pipette and Gutta nib. They flow readily into the silk fibers forming a barrier to the color. Setasilk is applied afterwards. All the Guttas can be washed after having been iron fixed with the exception of the colorless Gutta which is designed to wash out leaving a white line on the fabric where it has been applied. Opaque and pearly. Conforms to ASTM D-4236. Set Contains: 1 x 20ml Water Based Gutta

The consistency is smooth and easy to apply with precision, thanks to the fine nozzle tip. It dries fairly quickly (around 5 minutes) and creates clean, crisp lines on silk, preventing colors from bleeding into each other.
Review: Ne résiste pas à l'eau chaude même une fois fixé - J'ai réalisé de petits dessin simples sur soie et les ai repassés pour fixer. J'ai ensuite teint la soie avec une teinture diluée dans de l'eau chaude... Tout est parti. Il n'est évidemment mentionné nulle part que le produit ne résiste pas à l'eau chaude. Donc ne tentez pas la teinture (ou alors à l'eau froide, ce qui ne fonctionne pas) et restez sur la peinture.

**Q: can the pebeo gutta be used on cotton material?**
A: no, this kind of gutta is just for silk.

**Q: How big is the aperature of the applicator tip?**
A: it says 012 on the tube. it's a pretty large opening. But you can put one of those metal tips on the end to make it a fine line. Dharma Trading company sells them in 09 and 05

**Q: Does it wash out, but leave the black color? I don't want to feel the gutta after setting and washing...I used one that remained shiny and hard. Yuck!**
A: I didn't wash out It remains firm but non sticky. What I didn't like is that the point of the tube is too thin and the gutta fails while you're using it. Besides the quantity is very small.

J'ai réalisé de petits dessin simples sur soie et les ai repassés pour fixer. J'ai ensuite teint la soie avec une teinture diluée dans de l'eau chaude... Tout est parti. Il n'est évidemment mentionné nulle part que le produit ne résiste pas à l'eau chaude. Donc ne tentez pas la teinture (ou alors à l'eau froide, ce qui ne fonctionne pas) et restez sur la peinture.
