How long can these packs last on the shelf unopened before going bad?

There should be an expiration date on the package somewhere…you might have to check for…or sometimes the date it was made and packaged is the date on the packaging but as with any dehydrated product’s, I’d say it would last a couple years…mine say 2023 and I bought them in 2020-2021…hope this helps

Yes, the chicken size does not really matter, because it's for flavoring the soup. In Korea, people often cook two small chickens with one ingredient bag. Use a pressure cooker for easier cooking! (20minutes on high pressure will do)
