Not particularly cheap, but well made. I like the black pages -- I think pictures stand out more, and you can write notes with silver or gold markers. It also came with a bunch of corners for attaching photos to the pages. They are mixed colors, which isn't ideal, but the colors barely show so I'm not going to toss them. Nice touch.It's very elegant. Got it for an upcoming vacation to Alaska; looking forward to displaying it. Note, though, the size of this album requires that you use 4x6 vertically framed photos or else smaller ones. Most often our pictures are horizontally framed.Update 9/8/16 -- I have now finally put my album together with my photos. It looks GREAT!. I will say, though, that the cord that binds the pages is pretty fat -- not that it doesn't fit, but it fits so snugly it's hard to turn the pages. I think it's intended to be a tight fit, but there's not much "give" in the pages, so it's tight turning them. You have to do so very carefully, bending the pages at their indentation, but they don't give that much. You have to hold the left side of the album up, and can't lay it flat to flip through the pages. If you try to tie the binding more loosely, as I did, you then have an issue with the pages getting damaged from stress on the hole. If the album is going to get much use, I think it would be very important to buy and add some HOLE REINFORCERS. So, still a very nice book, but be aware. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful keepsake scrapbook! *by H***V on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2016* I bought this for my husband for a Father's Day gift. We both love the movie Up so I filled this with picture of our 'adventures'. He loved it! It is a nice thick book with sturdy front and back and thick card stock black paper. The pages are bound together with a rope. They are easy to turn but to open flat, you need to do it carefully and slowly or the pages will tear against the rope. It also comes with corner stickers to attach your pictures to the pages. It has several different color stickers and there are hundreds of each. I used them more for decoration and affixed the pictures with a glue stick. High quality all around and a wonderful family keepsake or gift. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Scrapbook for Boyfriend! I used Crayola chalk to write and taped photos of us all over. It looked super nice!
